Jacob’s Christmas Dream – Darlene Franklin
I listened to the audiobook version.
I’m not particularly fond of the narration. Several sentences seemed to pause during the sentence like she thought it was complete, and then she’d finish. Also she chose almost yelling voices for a few characters.
I enjoyed the story though. The main issue the couple worked to conquer didn’t seem as big of a deal to me as Darlene made it out to be in my opinion but I still enjoyed it.
Christmas Gold – Cynthia Hickey
This was a wonderful tale filled with the awkwardness of marrying a stranger and the greed of another! A perfect blend of romance and suspense!
Christmas Fire – Jennifer ALlee
What a transformation!! It's just incredible yet sadly true that people are capable of such evil, while others are full of such goodness! Very well written story of spousal abuse and God's better plan! I enjoyed the visit the most.
(Be aware before reading if you might be triggered by assault or spousal abuse. This book describes it mildly, yet accurately.)
Cooking Up Christmas – Teresa Ives Lilly
Lots of secrets in this romance. They cause confusion and strife, but there's definitely a happy ending! My favorite part is the change in Ron!!
The Evergreen Wreath – Tanya Stowe
I LOVED this story! I'm afraid, I'll reveal too much, but I sure hope the other readers love it as much as I do!
A Home for Christmas – Patty Smith Hall
A beautifully written story with an extremely important subject! I absolutely LOVED this book!
A Christmas Belle – Anne Greene
This whole collection is wonderful, but this book is my favorite so far! There’s a conversation at the end that I had to share on Facebook. This is a wonderful example of Christian Romance! Thank you Anne! Very well done!!
Christmas Blessing – Martha Rogers
This was a touching story, and I was just as scared about the wild animals as they they were! I was a bit dissapoined at the very end. They both felt it, but neither spoke out loud! I'd love to read a continuing story of grown up Elizabeth!
Rescuing Christmas – Lena Nelson Dooley
Powerful story! The beginning really pulled me in and was such a unique story!! I highly recommend! Might have triggers for someone with sensitivity to sexual abuse.
A Christmas Rose – Brandi Boddie
What a wonderful story! I love how this couple struggle, yet constantly seek guidance in their prayers and from their friends! The fact that they're not white was an extra bonus to me! We need more stories about minorities! A great way to finish this collection!
