Markinson has to be one of my favourite authors i have discovered this year. She writes such compelling stories that the pages just turn themselves at such a fast pace it almost leaves you breathless. You really won't want to put this one down and the only disappointment will be that it ends. However, she has so many other good books you won't have to be disappointed long.

I like the story, i like the characters. But the ending? its like the end of a chapter not the end of the story. there are still so many questions unanswered, they are in the middle of a take down the family crisis! Tell me there's another book to actually complete the story?

Markinson hits the mark again!Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 September 2016
More Brits should be reading TB Markinson as she's a quality writer. Plus her books are accessibly priced (or sometimes free as she keeps on giving them away on BookBub!). Considering some of the trash that's out there, you really could do so much worse! Several long reviews so I'll be brief. All I can say is that Markinson hits the mark again with this, as political shenanigans run afoot whilst sweet Ainsley simply falls in love. Read it. Enjoy it. Then read her others too! (well, all bar "Claudia Must Die" anyway, which I'm still not quite sure about...!)
EnjoyableReviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 March 2017
After reading a woman lost and enjoying it a lot I got this book for free. It's a good story with interesting characters - and a mixed raced main character which makes a nice change from the usual lesbian romance whitewash. Although may be I shouldn't have read it just after the horrible US election.
Yet another great read.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 March 2017
I really love this author. Her characters come alive, and always turn what could be a just another plot similar to many others to an almost unputdownable read.
A lovely story of loveReviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 December 2017
A lovely romance story of two meeting and falling in love with a gripping political element that will keep you reading on.
Loved it!Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 August 2017
I am a definite fan of this wonderful author. She is so good at getting you to love the characters, even with their flaws. I will be watching for more from this author.
