Steve runs a Donut shop and sees his little duck in trouble and offers help. The little Duck aka Joey is in a violent position with his boss which he takes steps to get off which lands him in more trouble. The two coming up with a plan but things don't go as planed.. A good read that I'd recommend never a dull moment. I'm totally addicted to this series now..

This was the second book in a series of M/M romance books. I read books 1 and 2 for free with Prime, and decided for 99 cents, I'd like to see what happens next.

The main character is an ex of the main character in the first and second book. A bad boy kinda ex, that deep down has a heart of gold (although in second book, the reader was left with a strong dislike of this character). I think the writer did a good job transitioning from book 2 to 3.

As mentioned in my review of books 1 and 2...this is a very diluted gay themed series. It's not as hot and steamy as it could be...the verbiage used, is geared more toward a straight or lesbian themed book. I this book, the writer is dabbling more in to the sub/dom scene and prostitution, however, I didn't think she did the best job with that if her target audience was gay men. It was very vanilla with all the terms she used for sex...and there was a over use of the word "make love" considering you're dealing with dom/sub and prostitution. I also thought there was too much emphasis put on the Steve's PA and sling in his bedroom...or the tongue ring. I felt ti was thrown in there for more of shock value...and in fairness, to some that may be...but it's not really that uncommon for anyone to have piercings or even sex toys.

I have to say, the writer did a great job of making you fall in love with Steve and "Ducky". I think the writer was trying to play up a younger older match...more of daddy son type relationship. In some ways she did...but in other ways she failed. Steve was portrayed in many ways as someone older...more experienced in life, settled and more on the wealthy side. However, doing the math, he's probably a few years under 30 (based on him being in a biker gang at 16 and then revisiting that crew a decade later). I also think the whole plot was a little far fetched...but it is a romance some things are forgiven and you just roll with it.

Like the end of book 2, this book ends with budding romance of 2 characters who were in this book. Unfortunately, the price of future books in this series went up (not that 2.99 is a deal breaker)...but they aren't that interesting for that price (that says a lot right there). So...if you are looking for a nice light read...I'd suggest the first three books. If the price drops...I'll probably read the next in the series.

As I mentioned in my previous review...these are more like Hallmark Channel Romances with a gay characters...very vanilla, but still kinda nice. If you're expecting something more like Queer as'll probably be disappointed.

I was so lost in this story I was able to finish the book in a few hours. To say I enjoyed the story of Steve and Joey is an understatement.

I thought the author did a great job drawing the reader into the characters. I was immediately invested and couldn't wait to see how this ended. I loved the suspense created.
Even though it's part of a series you don't have to read the others to follow along. it's a good book as a standalone.

This book was so good that before I knew it...I was done reading it. Just the storyline was enough to keep me interested, but add in the hot and steamy sex and you are in for a real treat. I am all for a good romance and I did have high hopes for this book. The description of the book was enough to get me interested, but the book kept me begging for more. I had not read any of Aria Grace's work; which goes to show you how much I wanted to read this one. Most of the time you want to start at the first one. Now, I am ready to go back and read 1 and 2, because I want to know what I was missing. This one was top notch and exactly the kind of book I would read over again.

First... can we take a second to appreciate the cover of this book.... sigh.... okay, moving on...(while looking back)
Here, we have Zach's ex Steve.... lemme tell ya, I did NOT like Steve in the last book so I was hesitant to read this one... I shouldn't have been... He more than made up for it and seeing inside Steve's head and getting to know the person he is, it's impossible not to love him... Even by the end of the first chapter I was completely smitten with him. Steve, as we knew from last book, owns a waffle stand, and everyday at 10 after 6, he see's someone that catches his eye walking just a step behind the douchiest of douchbags...who we later find out is a pretty big "made man"...his family is a big deal and has been for generations so he's not someone to be messed with, but one encounter leaves Steve seeing red when he notices Joey, a.k.a. "Little Duck" (that is SO cute by the way) is being mistreated... Worrying about him after not seeing him one day, he shows up back at work to find Joey beat up and not having anywhere to go... He was wary of Steve at first, but it's impossible not to see how genuine he is in wanting to take care of him. Of course we know that, but I can see where Joey would be skeptical....
I love how despite wanting Joey really bad, he tries to take his time with him, get him to trust him, let him do things in his own time, but Joey sees how great he is pretty quickly and the banter between these two is so cute, I loved seeing them get to know each other. Steve will do anything to make sure Joey is safe, which makes me wonder why he ever questioned wether or not he loved him because he's literally risking his life to keep Joey safe. If that isn't love I dunno what is :)
Calling in favors from friends, some of them old friends he didn't think he'd see anymore, he does what he needs to do in order to keep Joey safe, it's a nerwracking angsty few days, but once Joey is free and clear to do what he wants, its no surprise he chooses Steve.. Why wouldn't he?

I also love the others, Rachel and her mothering, Matty and Al (although I hope Al meets someone else who appreciates him), Spencer and Dylan, sigh... I can't wait to read about all of them! Best so far!

Loved it. I'm a huge fan of pet names between lovers and found this one chocked full of cuteness. Which was needed given the dark realm from which he story was born.

This book kept me on my toes and I found I was unable to put it down.
