This entertaining short story seeks to explain the inspiration behind the creation (and destruction) of the famous lost 'Spider Pit' scene from the original King Kong film made in 1933 (and recreated by Peter Jackson in his 2005 remake). A film historian tracks down the legendary film-maker Merian Cooper, and discovers that his most famous film may not be entirely a work of fiction...

Quite well-written, and good fun. Recommended.
