some funny, some quirkyReviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 June 2015
A delightful collection of romantic stories, some funny, some quirky, and some just passionate. Each story is accompanied by sweet recipe, usually central to the story. I particularly like Jane Lovering's amusing story "Raspberries" where the postman reads the postcards he has to deliver on his round. I shall also be trying the white chocolate and raspberry brownie recipe that helped to win him over!
Romance and chocolateReviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 November 2014
This entertaining selection of stories (and sumptuous chocolate recipes) from Choc Lit authors gives readers the opportunity to sample the work of writers they have not read before and to spend a little time in the company of those they have already discovered. Romance is explored in all its myriad forms. The story that remained with me long after I’d finished reading was “The Gift” by Margaret James.
Super short stories and scrumptious recipes!Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 January 2013
What a delightful book. Romance and food in one paperback. What could be better for a cold wet afternoon than curling up by the fire with a glass of wine, some home made cake and excellent short stories from the talented Choc Lit brigade. More please and soon!!!
