Too many Kindle rhrillers, to put it politely, are sheer balderdash. Chma Sea fits this category. As a resident of Australia that is threatened by Chinese expansion and a person who has worked in every one of these countries, I read widely of fact and in fiction. In the Aussie vernacular, this is a crook book. Firstly, budding authors are reluctant to pay the $3000 or more for a.professional edit, which is essential, and think Spellchecker is enough. The symptoms are ignorance and the frequent wrong use of homonyms, such as "birth" for "berth". Pitiful and ludicrous. Also the use of long texts, such as the details òf the furniture of messages such as addresses and classification. It's just chasing a word target. A Jack Ryan comes along once in a century. Don't be a poodle faker. Why then two star? One for the idea, one for the technical authenticity. But as was once described: it's just lipstick on a pig

A confession I read and absorbed most of the author's books in his Warbirds series enjoyed them immensely and still have the original paperbacks to re read. This last creation very different very readable and dare I say better than Clancy et all the intrigue action and near misses in this area of the world come alive . I hope Richard Herman is wrong!!

Moved along at a good pace, even if the scenario's were a bit over the top, my main beef is that we only had half the plot. What happened to the ballistic submarines? did the naval base stand down? what became of the underground VC group? what happened to the female IT expert? Is the author writing a follow up book?
