Product Description

Chasing Vivi is a Second Chance, Enemies To Lovers, Stand Alone, Contemporary Romance.

Prescott Beckham is Manhattan's wealthiest and most eligible bachelor.

Vivi Renard—a blast from the past—wasn’t supposed to affect me like this.

When I knew her ten years ago she was nothing more to me than a highly functioning brain.
Hell, I paid her to do my homework.

Only now … she’s drop dead gorgeous but had the nerve to turn me down for a date … several times.
No one turns me—Prescott Beckham—down for anything.
I’m on a mission and won’t stop until I’m firmly planted between her thighs, hearing her moan my name.

Her plump red lips have me dreaming filthy things and acting like a kid with his first crush.
If I can’t have her, I don’t want anyone else to either.
What’s worse is I want to own every single bit of her.

Except there’s a slight problem.
Vivi can’t stand me.
Even the old let’s be friends again thing failed.
She tossed it back saying we were never friends to begin with.

But I’m the king at playing ruthless games.
So she’d better be ready to drop her thong, because Vivi is going to end up in my bed sooner … or later.
And I’m pretty damn sure it’s going to be sooner.

Be prepared to laugh, swoon, hate, and fall in love with Prescott Beckham.

This is exactly the type of book I love to read.. hot cover, sexy H & H, kinda friends to lovers senario, but for me, something was missing. I get impatient, and this one was just too stung out for me. On one hand I love a heroine who makes the guy work for it, but Vivi over done it here, to the point that I nearly did not finish the book. But I liked her character and Was keen to know how this story unfolds. I just wished the hot sexy times happened a lot sooner, it seemed to be packed into the end of the book. 3.5 stars.

***5 ‘I Want to Hear Your Song’ Stars***

From the first chapter I was hooked, and by hooked I mean I fell in love with Prescott and Vivi by the time the chapter ended. It has happened where I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole for at least one of the characters in the first chapter, but it’s rare when it’s both, but it happened. I became totally invested in their journey, and let me tell you it IS a journey. Talk about being on a roller coaster ride where you will experience ALL the feels towards these two as they stumble along, but it was all worth it because my cheeks were hurting from all the dopey smiling I was doing and was quite unhappy when I kept tapping my screen and there were no more words to read about them or their friends and family.

Prescott. Engima. Complex. Alpha AF. Mouth so dirty you shouldn’t even bother with panties. A$%hole. The man is all of those. He truly is, and yet (of course there is an “and yet”) there is this innate goodness and compassionate nature that lives underneath it all, and finds a way to shine through, that gives you no choice but to fall in love with him. I’d love to say that he only presents one face to the world, but he doesn’t, not really. He hides his darkest vulnerabilities well, but everything else tends to be on display, it just takes an open mind to see it all.

Vivienne is extremely intelligent, determined, strong willed, sassy and her own worst enemy. I couldn’t help but admire her and how she evolved into the woman we meet in the book. She didn’t have it easy growing up, but at a certain point realized that the only person who could change the course of her world was her and she did it, brilliantly so. But by doing that, and life throwing her a few curve balls, she’s in full on self preservation mode and took the whole ‘I am an island’ thing to the extreme. Thankfully, she doesn’t stay in that mode and finds the woman she was truly meant to be as the story progresses.

As much as Vivi and Scotty’s journey to their HEA is an enemies to lovers story, it’s so much more and even with all the push/pull and tripping over their own feet going on, I thoroughly enjoyed the slow build of it all. Due to their past ‘relationship’ and the many issues that lay there, it was never going to be an easy road, but what I really liked was that as each issue was exposed it ended up healing both of them as well as giving them a shift in their own perceptions of not only their pasts, but their futures. There were many times where I wanted to simultaneously hug and smack them upside the head, because the chemistry between them was nuclear and you could tell that if only they could both let go of their tightly held control that they’d have something amazing.

Chasing Vivi was simply a fun, bring out all the feels read for me. There were times when the story dragged a bit for me, though it was more a “it’s not you, it’s me” thing because I just wanted more Vivi and Prescott time and the little twists that were thrown in were very well done. Some I saw coming, others I saw but wasn’t expecting them to go the way they did, but liked the direction they were taken. As many know, I’m a sucker for well written supporting characters and this one is filled with them. Lucas, Vince, Sam and Sara were awesome, but my fav is Eric. I am totally #TeamEric and then there are Prescott’s friends. I didn’t read A Special Obsession, (you don’t need to read it in order to enjoy Chasing Vivi), but now I’m working at bumping it up on the TBR list because I loved Weston, Special and Harrison and really want to know more about them and will be stal *cough* following Ms. Hargrove much more closely to see when Harrison will get his HEA!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing as always! 14 July 2017

After reading A Special Obsession, I couldn't wait for Prescott's story and it was even better than I could've imagined. I absolutely adored A Special Obsession so loving Chasing Vivi even more speaks to what an amazing author AM Hargrove is. I can't get enough of her stuff!

Prescott and Vivi really make us work for it in this story, especially Vivi. If you're looking for instant gratification, move on. If you like sexy banter, smoldering kisses and delicious, unbearable-at-times tension...You're. Going. To. Looooooove. This. Book. Prescott and Vivi are both very complex characters so it's only natural that their relationship would be complex. There is nothing easy about their journey and you get to a point where you start to wonder if they're even going to get together. That just makes is so much more gratifying when they finally do!

I love how they slowly become perfect compliments of each other. Vivi is smart, confident and funny; I love her stubborn, sassy side! Prescott is the ultimate alpha male who oozes strength and sex appeal. He's also got a deliciously, filthy mouth and is fiercely protective of those closest to him. He, too, is stubborn like Vivi and it's their combined stubbornness that keeps the two of them at odds for so long. Thank goodness for Eric though, right?? What an awesome secondary character in addition to Prescott's grandparents. And of course, we get to see Weston and Special, as well as, Harrison (can't wait for his story--Craving Midnight??? Hmmmm?? 🤔🤔).

This is no light story line. There are some heavy story lines throughout this emotionally charged romance. I felt a wealth of emotions as I read this story. I snorted, cracked up and even had tears in my eyes for some of the things that Vivi and Prescott have gone through. Seriously, such a phenomenal read that will give you all the feels from beginning to end.

5.0 out of 5 stars So impressed with Chasing Vivi and A.M. Hargrove! 14 July 2017

4.5 stars!

I picked a great story to my first A.M. Hargrove read. It has a lot of elements that I love, like enemies to lovers and second chance-ish feels. But what I loved most were the characters. Vivi is always likable and lovable. She's scrappy and independent. She's had a lot happen to her, but she's always worked hard and made the best of it. Prescott is wealthy. He has everything he's ever wanted, until he meets Vivi. All she sees is his alpha personality and how he was when they were in high school. Turns out there is a lot more to him than that. Prescott came across as arrogant at times, but as the book went on, he changed and I loved seeing that.

Chasing Vivi is a fast paced story, but the relationship between Vivi and Prescott develops slowly. In fact, I am really impressed with how physical desires by both were set aside and the emotional aspect of the relationship was given preference. And once they finally consummated the attraction between them, it was hotter than it would be otherwise. I do wish the transition from them getting naked to having sex had been a little better, but that's just a minor detail.

Another thing about this book that was fantastic was it's unpredictability. The story was full of twists that were and weren't foreshadowed, and all were totally relevant to the Vivi, Prescott, and their lives. So color me impressed and if you haven't read A.M. Hargrove, I'd start with this book.

Another GREAT book from AM Hargrove. She never fails to impress me with her stories an characters. I get caught up in her books everytime I pick one up.

Chasing Vivi is one I have been waiting to read, ever since I met Prescott in A Special Obsession. I knew he story as going to be a good one and I wasn’t disappointed. This book had everything I look for in a 5 star read. She gave us an intriguing storyline, interesting characters, humor, great dialogue, drama (but nothing over the top) a little bit of heartache, and some extremely steamy sex ;) My emotions and heart were all over the place while reading this book. The author does touch on some serious topics, but I thought Ms. Hargrove handle these topics with a lot of grace and dignity.

I loved the flow and pace of this story. This book is an enemies to lovers style story. Prescott and Vivi actually know each other from back in High School, when they both went to Crestview. To say their road to happiness was an easy one is an understatement. Both Prescott and Vivi have some serious issues steaming from things in their past. So it was fun watching these two learn to open themselves up and learn to trust one another. I thought the author took these two characters on the perfect journey. She should that what started out as instant lust can turn into something really beautiful. You just have to learn to trust others. Like I said earlier, this book isn’t full of a lot of drama, but what was in this story will have you turning the pages fast!!!! This book has quite a bit of angst in it so if you are fan of that, you will love this story.

Chasing Vivi is a standalone companion novel to A Special Obsession. It is told in Dual POV. It is a complete standalone and NO you don’t have to read A Special Obsession first. I would only suggest it to get to know Prescott a little better. You meet him in that book, we also see some other characters from the other book, but nothing that will really spoil Weston and Special’s story if read out of order. I loved that we got to see more of Harrison in this story and that she kind of sets up the next book in this book.

As I have will all of A.M. Hargrove’s books, I would definitely recommend this book. If you are looking for that enemies to lovers romance with a little bit of drama and a lot of angst added in, then this is the book to read. Another GREAT read by Ms. Hargrove!!!!

In typical style for this amazing author, she's once again provided an entertaining romance with plenty of sexy scenes and angsty tension. Chasing Vivi has a slow burn feel that will reel you in from page one.

Prescott and Vivi went to the same high school but walked on completely different paths. Prescott has everything easily handed to him with an air of entitlement... at least that's how it seems. Vivi has suffered significant lost and struggles to keep her head above water. When their opposite world collide again, these two are in for one hell of an adventure.

Vivi's snarky attitude warmed me up to her immediately. I love strong heroines that don't get swallowed up by their counterpart. She gives as good as she gets and the sassy fun never quits. Vivi isn't letting Prescott get off easy, in any respect. His persistence and devotion to her is very admirable. He's a man used to getting what he wants and Vivi is all he can think of lately.

Getting lost is this lovely story was fantastic. Each scene built seamlessly onto the last and the transitions were silly-smooth. These characters have a ton of captivating dialogue and banter, plus the heat between the sheets. Bravo to Ms. Hargrove on another amazing romance hit!
