too many I. L. Y.’s to suite me; even Hallmark might think it’s a bit much and too soon. The storyline is good and the characters are fine but these folks jump from 1st to 4th and never acknowledge the in between. I wouldn’t recommend this book to younger girls for that reason. There is nothing inappropriate, altho’ the kissing scenes are rather much, but telling your boyfriend you love him after a few short weeks does not seem prudent to me.
What is a good in “Chasing Abigail” are the relationships between young and old couples, excellent examples of mentoring, prayer support and living one’s faith out loud. These folks are also able to admit their sin, ask forgiveness and seek to make amends in a biblical manner. This process is so often omitted from contemporary religious fiction; kudos to Renee Kinlaw!
This was my 1st Kinlaw book and aside from the ILY issue, it was enjoyable enough that I’d read another of her offerings 📚
