Loved the idea of the boss and his subordinate being attracted to one another but fighting it because of their working relationship and workplace policies. Then for your boss to happen across you as your alter-ego and flirt with you is one thing. But when you get called into the bosses office for a "business trip" that you have never been asked to go on before is just too much like can this be real? And then to have to share his bed because of mix-up is more then I could take and still stay sane. Overall a good book and loved it especially the ending. Hope this is not the end for them.

It would be nice to have a book 2 with them getting married. Both max aka Maxine and Travis were so GOOG together.

Wander outside your comfort zone and fall in love with Max as he falls in love with Travis. Great characters and great fun to read. SPOILER ALERT Travis loves everything about Max including his alter ego drag performer Maxine. Lovely story of love and trust and acceptance.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother.... 5 December 2013

The teaser at the beginning of the book was good, so I purchased the book. What a disappointment it was to read the very next chapter where things started to fall apart.

Not worth a dollar or any amount for that matter.

“...Love your curves and all your edges, all your perfect imperfections...You're my end and my beginning. Even when I lose I'm winning, 'cause I give you all of me and you give me all of you. ~ John Legend

Max has found a fantastic form of stress release from his demanding bank executive job and it involves a sexy woman named Maxine. Maxine is the part of Max that knows how to relax and have fun, the part which belongs only to herself. Max guards this part of himself with the ferocity of a mother bear, because losing Maxine would be like losing all the joy in his life. The last thing Maxine expects is that her boss will wander into the club where she performs and she is even more surprised when he is attracted to her. As Shakespeare once said: “Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.” Now Maxine wonders if it's even possible to unweave this tangled web and keep her boss's attention at the same time.

I loved Max and loved Maxine even more. It's not possible for anyone to have more class than she does. Max is a person who knows who he is and what he wants. He doesn't want to be a woman, but loves to explore his feminine side; he loves the feeling of silk on his skin. It's a sexy and comforting feeling to wear female clothing. He also loves the attention he gets from people in the club. They love Maxine for herself and her talent and beauty and have no other expectations. What Max/Maxine needs is someone to appreciate the person under the clothing, whether that's a skinny black dress, or a smart designer suit, and won't settle for anything less.

When Travis finally gets enough nerve to approach Maxine, he asks for a date then disappears. He's never been attracted to a cross-dresser before and it confuses him. It's not just that though, Maxine gets under his skin as no one ever has before. He doesn't realize that Max, whom he's already attracted to, and Maxine are the same person, which explains the strong pull. A business trip brings them closer than they normally would have been and Max's secret is revealed. Travis is totally discombobulated and scrambles to get his footing again. He admits that he's attracted to both Max and Maxine. Now he has to come to terms with it and figure out where they go from here.

I was fascinated with this story. Cross-dressing is something that I've never given much thought to, but this story gave me a new perspective into the world of cross-dressing and an education in how much work it is to present the necessary feminine image. I'd recommend it to all you romantics out there who may appreciate a story full of emotion and the possibility of dreams being fulfilled no matter how unlikely they may seem.
