The spark blew into an inferno between the main characters and I was hooked from the get go.
I will definitely fall deeper into all that is Freya Barker, that’s for sure

Everything Freya Barker produces is all that and more.
Sometimes I feel like she's written what's on my head only I didn't know it was there. Her stories are exactly what I want and have come to expect.
This was no different. Yes we have our gorgeous hero and really lovely heroine and yes there's the back story and the dramas that are the grit in the soft comfort of a sexy romance. Does that sound repitious? I don't mean it to and I don't care. There's a formula yes, but it's a bloody good one. I don't want to read about hurts and heart aches without hope. I don't want the bad guys to get away because they're cleverer than the good guys. It's a simple concept that a lot of writers use in this genre, and for some they carry it off brilliantly and there's some that don't so it can look repitious. When handled with skill as is in all Barkers books, it's that actual formula i seek. because she tweaks it, gives my old heart smiles and my inner younger woman relief that as I grow older I'm not going to shrivel up and die....because there's a woman out there creating stories with real people with wrinkles, grey hair and oodles of energised lovedupness and rocking it! We all need to 'feel totally amazingly good moments' beyond our own lives. I get that little extra in the books like this where the woman wins and the man knows it... and it's good!
I've read a few of Freya Barker's books now and have become quite a fan. She has a lovely style of writing, the plots are simple but often with a real twist, the characters are so well developed and likeable and I'm always happy to pick up her books knowing I'm going to love the experience.
A Change Of View is all about Leelo inheriting a decrepit motel and upping sticks to get it up and running.
The hot man next door, Roar, the surly love interest, had me laughing at his grouchiness and need for solitude.
The story opens to drama and humour and a grudging interest in one another and develops into a real love story based on friendship and respect.
It is a standalone and Book 1 doesn't have to be read first.
I adore her books, the imagery she presents makes you feel like you're in the middle of the story, watching everything unfold in front of you.
The storylines are action packed, with just the right amount of suspense, drama and angst while also packed with so much raw emotion, affection, humour, attraction and heat (dear gods the heat - and I'm not just talking about the temperature in Wawa!!!)
Slightly older characters with baggage, issues, vulnerabilities, flaws et al that come across as real, believable and so very relatable!!
I nigh on inhaled A Change of View, putting my kindle down only when it was absolutely necessary - but that's pretty much what Freya Barkers books do to me... I'm an addict when it comes to her work!
FLOVED Lilith (Leelo) and Roar!!!!
5 well deserved stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This couple are two of my favourites that Freya Barker has written & me of my favourites book by her
I have romped through this delightful audio, beautifully performed by Austin Barringer and Anneliese Rennie. With attractive, interesting characters and a sense of the effort in making a new family, I found myself immersed in the story and carried along by the voices telling it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
