The zipper is not as sturdy. This zipper does not have a "pull" on the zipper like my prior bras. This zipper pull, like all other zippers, must be perfectly aligned with the base of the zipper before it will zip up. BUT, the pull is rather small, smaller than most zipper pulls, and much smaller than my old Champion bras; this is a significant difference, lowering ease of use for me. I tried it multiple times, to check out the feel of the zipper and how it aligned, before trying it on; making it easier to zip it when putting it on. But don't expect it to work as well as their prior designs.
This zipper alone will probably not last as long. Many reviewers have complained about the zippers breaking; I assume this will happen to me too. When that happens I can replace it myself (there are much better zippers in the sewing stores and should probably take 5 to 10 minutes to put in). I know we should not have to replace zippers in garments, least of all in relatively new garments, but a seamstress might be to help people who do not like to sew.
The band is different and I think better. It has two adjustment on the back of the band to make it smaller if needed. That could come in handy, as elastic ages, that is if it lasts that long.
The fabric is more nylon/poly like. It looks similar to the type my fitness/extreme workout friends adore. It is supposed to help "wick" to pull the moisture out of the fabric. I don't know, I'll see. I do know I adore cotton, and miss the feel of the cotton knit especially in this sensitive area.
I ordered another one as planned and I've had it for about a week (maybe less). THE ZIPPER BROKE?! I noticed the zipper gave me a little issue, as did the others, but nothing out of the ordinary. It randomly broke while I was sitting down watching TV. I was able to zip it back up and I brushed it off; then today, it jammed and was unable to unzip the bra completely. BOO!
my shoulders are very stiff, which is why i wanted a zip front sport bra. i had bad experiences with zip fronts in the past, with the zipper coming down at inopportune moments. with this one, the zipper has always stayed up thus far, not even coming down an inch. however, it is sometimes a struggle to get the zipper properly aligned, so as to be able to zip it -- that is my only problem with it.
