Almost didn't buy this because of the reviews saying the locking mechanism doesn't work and makes the bag useless, but since there weren't many options at this size and price point I gave it a shot.
Maybe the manufacturer had a run of defective ones. Maybe the reviewers had never seen this type before and are Trump supporters without the common sense to figure it out. Either way, it's a non-issue. It isn't the push button type; it's the sort that slides one way to loosen and the other to tighten. As long as you aren't putting tension on the line when you're trying to work it, it's fine. IF you happen to get a broken one, there is no need to get hysterical. Find a screwdriver, pop the thing off and then tie the bag shut when its laundry time. Above all, remain calm, you'll get through this.
