About the Author

ISIS CRAWFORD was born in Egypt to parents who were in the diplomatic corps. When she was five, her family returned to the States, where her mother opened a restaurant in Upper Westchester County and her father became a university professor. Since then Isis has combined her parents' love of food and travel by running a catering service as well as penning numerous travel-related articles about places ranging from Omsk to Paraguay. Married, with twin boys, she presently resides in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, where she is working on the next Bernie and Libby culinary mystery. --This text refers to the hardcover edition.

I loved this book! The characters just keep getting better, but I do wish one of the more recent ones would go away. I also love the recipes that are included in this series. I've had to change the way I do my reviews a bit because I no longer have a viable Kindle e-reader device. Instead, I use the app on my Kindle Fire 10 HD tablet. I wish the app had chapter demarcations. Chapter demarcations make it so much easier to see how close you are to the end of a chapter or to find a stopping place when you need to do so. The plot in this one is more complicated than it seems at first. I won't bore you with a plot summary as I know other reviewers are fond of dong that. if you liked the previous books in the series, I say you should give this one a shot because I don't think you'll be disappointed. Have at it! I can't wait for the next one.

Again, OUTSTANDING! The title and cover can be a bit misleading. This adventure begins on Halloween and moves forward. Loved revisiting Libby, Bernie and the entire cast, along with the former Peabody School. Please read A CATERED HALLOWEEN for the background of the School. Love, love this series!
