Jeremiah Cameron Tremaine
Within the body of Jeremy is a weapon of mass destruction. Being the strongest host in Dover’s Amalgam, he is known as Category Jeremy to those who keep his secrets. But his DNA mutation is not his greatest challenge; it is the memory of a girl who haunts his every step. The girl he left behind…
Beau Angelle Benoit
Something happened to Jeremy after being lost in Hurricane Libby. Beau was there when the rescue team found him in the devastating aftermath of the storm and he was different—inhuman. She could hear him speak without words and when he touched her, she sensed he was holding back mayhem from unleashing at his will. But, instead of trusting her with his new abilities, he left her to face government officials who probed her mind and in a town where people believe her a lunatic.
Now eight years later, Jeremy is back in their hometown of Gueydan, Louisiana, but Beau wants nothing to do with him. She does not know that part of the reason he has returned home is to restore her reputation. He will do whatever it takes to make right the wrongs he caused, even if means to keep up the lie that he is normal. If she finds out what he is, she will be a target for the enemies of Dover. There is a war going on unseen to the natural world. A war that involves host of forces of nature and a league set on plowing down anyone that stands in their way of complete control of Dover’s Amalgam.

Jeremy left 8 yrs ago because of his special powers. He is a force of mass destruction in the form of a hurricane. He can also read minds. He time travels between medieval Dover, Lousiana and Cayman Islands. He has returned to Lousiana to make amends with his best friend Beau. He helps in church reform and dismantle a host formation as the dawn of a mega storm comes to south coast.

I was a bit lost in beginning of this story. Once I got the idea of what was going on I really enjoyed it. The character's were unique. My favorite was Jeremy. I think he just wanted to be an ordinary guy just like anyone else. He has special powers along with being able to time travel. Which at times I could see that being both a curse and a benefit depending on circumstance. Beau and Jeremy have a great connection and friendship, that I enjoyed watching grow over the course of this book.

*Received a copy in exchange for an honest review*

I enjoyed Category Jeremy by Elizabetta Holcomb. This is the second book in the Chronicles of Dover's Amalgam.

In this book it focuses around the evolving relationship of Jeremy and Beau.
Their older and wiser now.
But mistakes are made, can they keep their relationship intact?
Or will their hearts end up broken?

I really liked the time travel, paranormal aspect of this story, it gave it a nice kick, that left me wanting more!
When characters from the last book made appearances, I would say that was my favorite part!

It was a fun enjoyable read, and can't wait for what Elizabetta Holcomb comes up with next.

Paranormal books are usually not my favorites, but I have the say this book is the exception to that rule. I loved this novel. Children with Autism are so special they all deserve to be superheros. I loved how the story came together and I found myself wishing dreams could come true. BRAVO Elizabetta.

Okay! *takes a deep breath* Get ready for some serious fangirling!

OMG!!! Jdsshvdjkdvjsjjdjydnsjkfh!!

You know how in some series, the first book is the best and then it just gets bad! This is quite the opposite here!
I already admired this author's writing in The Guardian, but the quality of her writing in this book is incredible!!! It is beautiful, lyrical. The entire time, I had a clear picture in my mind of what was going on. Everything is carefully described. Anyone thinking indie authors can't write need to read this book!!!!

Though I loved The Guardian, Jeremy Category is just incredible.

This book can be read as a standalone, btw.

Jeremy = Heart!!!

And for those who love diversity, Jeremy is autistic, and I know the author does a lot for Lift4Autism. This is the first time I've read a novel where the main character is autistic and we need more of these novels!

Read this book now!

Also, the cover!!! Hello! So beautiful! (No, no, I am not jealous at all, I swear! =p). I'm gonna go now and fangirl on my own. 'Kay, bye!

This one was a little bit of a slow start for me, but once I got into it I really got sucked in. The beginning was a little bit of an info dump for someone who did not read the first book, presumably, so I may have had an easier start had I read The Guardian first. That being said, though, I really liked Beau and Jeremy and the dynamic of their relationship once I got further in. I also really appreciated the highly original world building. There is time travel, suspense, romance, and special powers! Recommended!
5.0 out of 5 stars Unique Take on Superheroes! 6 September 2016

Category Jeremy is a YA historical/time-travel/superhero novel that tells the story of Jeremy Tremaine—one of the Dover Amalgam—whose body contains a weapon of mass destruction. In Jeremy’s case, this weapon is a hurricane that puts him in a class unto himself. Jeremy’s life, while complicated enough living between time periods: medieval Dover, and modern Louisiana, England, and the Cayman Islands, and being the strongest host in the Amalgam alive, becomes even more complicated when he returns to Louisiana to gain the forgiveness of his best friend (and someone he has come to love deeply), Beau Benoit.

Holcomb’s novel is a unique spin on the superhero genre, with a wholly original take on superhero origins that will not only interest readers, but touch their hearts as well. Add to that an exciting plot filled with twists and turns, you have a story that will entertain readers of all ages for years to come in and out of this genre.

With rich, well-drawn characters, a fresh take on superhero origins, and a plot that will leave readers clamoring for more, Holcomb’s work is not to be missed!

This book is a follow-up to the authors first book and the main characters from that book make appearances in this book which I really liked. The story itself is really about the relationship build up of Beau and Jeremy although there is plenty of action and twists and turns. While there were some sections I found drawn out a bit with information, the writing was so enjoyable and interesting that I really didn't mind it so much. The end of the book has me, and will have you, waiting or the next!
