I enjoyed this story, it is somewhat improbable, and begins with a couple getting married in Vegas while both are blackout drunk, but I always love a happy ending which this certainly delivered. It left me smiling and feeling happy so was definitely good

4.0 out of 5 stars Finding Love In Unexpected Places 14 October 2016
By Liz Castillo - Published on Amazon.com

When you pick up a duet book, you don't know what you're going to get. However, with How To Catch An Heiress I was pleasantly surprised. Natalie wrote a captivating story with easy flow and well defined characters.

Liz and Anthony are both in need of a break of the curve balls life has thrown at them. Their relationship isn't always easy, lies and secrets always have a way of getting out, but working through the issues and getting to know each other better prove to be just what they need.

This was an enjoyable read that's sweet with a touch of angst to keep things interesting. Anthony and Liz are overall very likable individuals even when they make decision that are less than favorable. But in the end, I couldn't help but fall in love with this couple. And I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

4.0 out of 5 stars I loved the writing style 14 October 2016

This is my first read by Natalie Rios. I loved the writing style, although it did start off a little slow for me; but after the first two chapters it caught my attention and had me hooked until the end. I loved that she had both POV’s, so you can see both sides of the story. Liz and Anthony make the cutest couple. Liz is well set in her ways and Anthony is just as stubborn and wants things his way.

Liz Rockwell is a billionaire that is a successful divorce attorney. She never thought she would have to use her skills for herself, when she wakes up with Anthony Carter and with wedding rings on her finger, while on a trip to Vegas. Liz just wants out of the marriage but Anthony has other plans. Anthony is in debt up to his ears and wants Liz to pay off his debts with her money; however she wants nothing to do with her dysfunctional family’s money.

Will Liz and Anthony be able to move past the money differences and keep their marriage?

How to Catch an Heiress is Natalie Rios’ debut novel and the first book in The Heiress Series. I look forward to reading more of Natalie’s books and definitely of The Heiress Series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A 5-Star read in every way that counts!! 28 March 2017
By S.J. Dowling - Published on Amazon.com

I received this book as a Freebie, but after having read it would have paid the asking price. Anthony and Liz were a remarkable couple, despite the drunken Vegas marriage start to their relationship. The storyline was unique, quirky, funny, and steamy. The characters were all vivid, entertaining, and kept you on your toes. The interaction between Anthony and Lizzie was spot on, holding your interest to where you couldn't wait to get to the next paragraph. The sexual tension was sizzling. Anthony kept Liz on her toes, and didn't let up. And the icing on the cake is that I only found one "your" that should've been "you're." And seeing the cover Anthony in your mind while reading did not hurt one bit. I will be one-clicking more books by Natalie Rios again soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not a neutron star. 1 April 2017

There was enough going on to keep me interested in this book, but at the same time there was a lot of back and forth for me. I did end up enjoying the plot, but the the contents from about chapter three until the third to last chapter seemed like Anthony and Liz would get somewhere, just to have a set back. I'm all for slow burn, but this seemed to be hot-potato to me.
Liz seems strong willed, which is great. I do love that her personality is unique and fits well with her Lawyer career.
Anthony seems to be way to smart to be where he's at in life, but Liz shows him things that he's never thought about which in my opinion means they should be together. I also FLOVE the complements he gives her, they are nerdy and beautiful!
They challenge one other, and that's one of the great things about their relationship.
In all, I would recommend this book, but only if asked.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not plausible 12 April 2017

Liz Rockwell and Anthony Carter meet while on vacation in Las Vegas. They hit it off, but are surprised to wake up married the next morning. Liz, a successful lawyer specializing in family law, is hoping for a quick annulment. But when debt-ridden Anthony finds out she is one of the heirs to a major fortune, he wants some money out of the situation. So he goes to her home in Miami to figure out how to turn the marriage to his advantage.

Anthony’s motivations are clear, but I was never fully convinced that Liz would just let him move in given her fear of commitment, her terror of being used for money and family connections, and her (correct) intuition that Anthony was up to no good. In trying to set up a situation where Liz can fall for Anthony despite herself, Rios lets plausibility fly right out the window.

I would have appreciated a more complete explanation of how Anthony even wound up on the hook for his mother’s hospital bills. Although they certainly would have consumed her estate, in most instances, adult children aren’t on the hook for any medical debt assumed by their parents. Also, there is a confusing mistake near the end. We’re told at the beginning of a chapter that a year has passed, but the events and conversation in the chapter quickly make it clear that it was only a month or so later. The book needs another read by someone with an eye for details like this.
