Carter can Rock a Man Bun,,,Reviewed in the United States on 26 September 2016
I have read every one of the Bourban and Blood books and I think I have to say Carter is my favorite so far. Carter is the family member that just does what he wants, when he wants. He is the town bad boy that everybody loves to gossip about and he makes sure he give them the info they need. Josie the is the Preachers Daughter that everybody in town makes sure to remind her any chance they can that she is lucky to have parents adopted her from horrible life. What they don't know is both Josie and Carter feel the say way about how they are treated. The only difference is Carter does not care and that is all Josie cares about. When Carter has to rescue Josie from a drunkin night of fun, all hell breaks loose. Carter who has a reputation for playing the field of loving and leaving em, Josie wants that secret dirty affair with Carter. But as the story unfolds both Carter and Josie understand each other better then anybody and both have to come to terms with what they want. I love how Seraphina Donavan can suck you into a book and leave you begging for more. I have read several of her books and each one leaves me waiting on bated breath.
Explosive!Reviewed in the United States on 12 August 2016
I'm totally hooked on this talented author and I really love this drama of lust and greed that has pitted two families against each other. Small town gossip and small minds have been a part of Josie's history since she was adopted at a very young age. Carter has been compared to his loser father his entire life until it's a self fulfilling prophecy he can't escape. He's the bad boy and she's the minister's daughter so they should have nothing in common, but they both have been made to feel like they are inferior. But we all want what we can't have, so when they let themselves go, their explosive sexual chemistry is undeniable. My favorite thing about this series is the fact that the nuclear story is experienced in real time from different character's point of view. I have never read a series that is written exactly like this one and I really like the concept. There's plenty of angst and family drama in Carter and Josie's storyline, and while there are no nasty cliffhangers to spoil the fun, these books definitely need to be read in the order that they are written for maximum effect. This is an awesome romance by a really talented author I just can't get enough of.

This is my favorite book in the series so far. Great characters and good storyline, but where is the next book?
Seraphina Donavan has done it again!!Reviewed in the United States on 23 June 2016
I love the Bourbon and Blood series and this installment certainly lived up to my expectations! Lively characters and witty dialogue keep the pages turning, even when I should be doing something else...like working! Lol! Carter and Josie play perfectly off of each other and I loved the backstory of her adoption and his upbringing in a small town. Can't wait for Quentin!
