The case is a nice soft but does offer great protection, it comes with 5 slots too to store Switch game cartridges. There is enough space that you aren’t putting any pressure on the Switch with the cartridges in the storage sleeves either another bonus.
The overall design of the case is nice, white and black PVC on the external and a softish fabric on the inside to keep the screen safe from scratches. One issue I did have was that the outer shell isn’t a hard shell but a softish shell which I did concern me if I did drop the Switch in the case, but so far, it’s been good and the switch has been protected when in the case. One issue that I have with the case is that the shoulder buttons have dug slightly into the back of the case but isn't cause for concern just yet.
The case itself is nice and compact so it easily fits into a bag for travel and doesn’t weigh much either so again perfect for traveling. The Switch could be used whilst it was in the case but I wouldn’t recommend it as I tried this and the switch fell out as I couldn’t hold it very well. So, unlike the old DS where you could play with it in the case, you’d need a silicone case for the switch if you wanted a case when you were using it switch. However, the case is not advertised as something you can use while playing the switch so not really an issue there.
Overall a great purchase, I like the fact that you can hold a couple games in the case and they don’t affect the Switch when seated in there, it’s usable as a case that you can travel with and looks great, clean and simple.
