The screws are very weak. One snapped off during install. Now I have a broken screw that I can’t get out in the neck, sux. I used a screw i had laying around and it worked fine. Strap locks are awesome. Just wish I didn’t ruin a new guitar.
The product is cheaply made. The screws are not long enough to hold on my guitar had to use the original screws which defeted the purpose of buying it since I wanted to replace my old dull chrome ones with gold. Now I have a gold one with silver screws.
Super simple strap buttons in 3 colors. Rubber washers are great for holding strap in place. When strap eyes get worn they will detach from the button at inopportune times. The washers prevent that let-down feeling. Drill is required for installation and is not included. I would buy again when I buy more ukuleles that need strap buttons.
Won't work for thick straps. For thinner straps, the retainers work well. I actually used some of the strap buttons and they are tiny. I'll probably look for another kit with bigger buttons before gluing a toothpick in with titebond glue and drilling for the new screw..
The Canomo Guitar Strap buttons work well with my baritone ukuleles. The design make it easier to remove the shoulder strap than standard strap buttons, such as Fender, which is important for such lightweight and thinly constructed instruments.
