Review

Forbes magazine list of "The Top Cannabis Books to Exchange on Christmas Eve"

"Andrew Ward spills the beans on how to obtain a job or full-blown career in the cannabis industry. Brooklyn-based freelance cannabis writer Ward should know, as he has covered the industry for over a decade for Benzinga and Merry Jane, among other media outlets." --Forbes

"In this how-to book, Ward sets the lay of the marijuana-industry land, from tech and cultivation to PR, branding, and marketing. Since it's such a new industry, there are many books available, but this one stands out for those new to the cannabis world or those who want to take advantage of the many new opportunities."
--Booklist

"Cannabis and hemp will fuel the next wave of job creation and industry. Through Cannabis Jobs, Andrew Ward succeeds in breaking down the socioeconomic realities of working in the space and uncovers key points of entry beyond the obvious 'seed' and 'sale' tracks. The book and its experts quoted within reveal ways to convert skills the reader might already possess, and identifies career opportunities of which they might not have even considered. This is a must-read for anyone looking to not just work, but flourish, in this burgeoning industry."
--Tracey Henry, founder, Tracey Henry Consulting (THC)

"The employment opportunities in the cannabis industry are numerous and varied. Our shared experience working in the industry in facility design, operations, software/technology, data, distribution, licensing, retail, education, event production, and more in the Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, New York, and New Jersey markets have allowed us to see a wide range of opportunities and career paths in the cannabis industry. Andrew Ward does a fantastic job of assessing the numerous opportunities and compiling them in an easy-to-understand format with actionable information. For individuals interested in starting in the industry, changing career paths in the industry or, hiring talent for the industry, Cannabis Jobs dissects the intricacies in a valuable and insightful way. This book is perfect for those that are interested in learning more about careers in cannabis."
--Jacobi Holland and Lulu Tsui, co-founders, On the REVEL, the Cannabis Innovation Showcase (NYC)
"Author Andrew Ward does an incredibly competent job of helping you to understand the potential pains and challenges that might come with acquiring career paths within certain sectors of the cannabis industry and how to deal with them to achieve your goals and ride along with others on this green wave."
--Noemi Gonzales, Green Market Report --This text refers to the paperback edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic resource for anybody wanting to enter the industry

As somebody who has been working as a professional in the industry for over five years I'm so happy somebody finally took the time to write this all down. So many people think that the only jobs in the cannabis industry are cultivation or retail but in reality that is just the tip of the iceberg. Andrew does a great job of highlighting the wider ecosystem of opportunities in the space and I hope that this will help those trying to get involved find the right spot for themselves!
