About the Author

Matthew Harms is a walker and cyclist, at heart a traveler who believes in slower forms of transportation that allow for a closer understanding of people, communities, and landscapes. He has multiple years of experiences working with hiking routes in the Balkans and Middle East, and his many self-supported journeys have taken him through the Middle East, Europe, and the United States. Anna Dintaman and David Landis are the cofounders of Village to Village Press, LLC and bring over 10 years of experience working with walking routes in the Mediterranean and Middle East. Both avid hikers and cyclists, their experience ranges from backpacking Patagonia and Nepal to hiking in the Alps, Andes and Appalachian mountains to cycling across the United States. They have shared a deep love of the Camino since they each separately took a 500-mile journey on the Camino Francés in 2009. In 2007, David cofounded the Jesus Trail, a hiking trail that connects sites from the life of Jesus. They enjoy introducing their children to the joys of walking, the outdoors, and learning from other cultures.
