Product Description

Every war is between brothers
Knowing outlaw biker Callan Tilley is about to be murdered by another member of the Thunder Gypsies MC, Avery Watkins calls the police. But not all cops in Thunder Valley operate on the right side of the law, and saving Callan could cost Avery her life.

Callan has had a soft spot for the shy waitress from the first time he set eyes on her back in high school and is certain she was the one who called 911. That means she's as good as dead once the gang traces the call back to the bar where Avery works.

His plan to save them both? Steal a secret stash of the club's money, grab Avery and get the hell out of town. It might work, too, if the ATF, FBI, DEA and every other alphabet-soup agency in law enforcement were not on the hunt for a Gypsy willing to turn on the MC.

Originally titled Rage, this Thunder Gypsies MC novella has had only its title and cover changed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful 4 April 2014

This was a strong story, not a lot of tender moments. In a harsh world, tender moments are sparse, feelings are strong and loyalties are important. Avery and Callan have been interested in each other for several years, but Avery overheard a plot to kill Callan and the rest is history. This is the first of a triad about the Tiley family and it is a don't put it down book. There is a plot to wipe out the Tiley family, Avery's abusive and drunken father, crooked cops and crooked DEA agents. AND some truly hot love scenes and they are love scenes. Do enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome author 12 April 2014

Ms. Wick is (and always will be) an automatic buy for me. Not only are her storyline tight and well written, but she does what very few other authors can do: write a story where the H as well as the h are likeable, believeable, and just well done. No one can write a sexy Alpha the way Ms. Wick can; they are the type that speak softly but carry a big stick. None of her men are pontificating brutes, but rather I always get a feeling of Clint Eastwood-nish deadly landsharkness about them. And her women are beautiful- plain and simple.

This is her first MC book, and like all the other genres that she has written foir she hits it dead-on. From begining to end this book worked well for me. Her foray into the culture of motorcycles and clubs (and being on the lam) was well done. I look forward to the Lincoln's book.

so so good. I am a huge fan of this author already but this book was simply amazing. In this book we meet Avery and Callan. Avery has had a crush on Callan for years but always thought he saw through her not to her. Callan is part of the Gypsy MC, one night while working at the bar Avery hears the VP of the MC tell his guys that they are going to kill Callan. Avery knows that even if Callan never sees her she can't imagine a world where he isn't at least in it. So she tries to find his phone number when that doesn't work she does the only other thing she can think of she calls the cops. Callan realizes pretty quickly who called the cops that night and what kind of danger that Avery is in. Though she doesn't know it he as seen and thought about her too. What happens next is a world wind of romance, passion, danger and a chance at something neither thought they would ever have someone who will love them no matter what. This book has many ups and downs in it but it is a ride I will take with this author again and again. Can not wait to see where she takes the next book in this series. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Short Biker Book 25 April 2014

This was a great beginning to a new biker series.

I loved both Avery and Callan's characters. Callan is a really sweet and caring guy who has always wanted Avery. However, he figured she deserved better and didn't want him because he was a biker. Avery has been in love with Callan for a long as she can remember. She even knows the sound of motorcycle from the others. But she's been broken from a hateful father, and is shy and tries to stay invisible so no one will notice her. Neither realized how the other felt.

Avery's dad is an unemployed drunk, who doesn't allow her freedom. He takes Avery's money from the two jobs she works and buys his alcohol and cigarettes. While she's working at Freya, a local bar, she overhears Little Red, the Thunder Gypsies' VP saying he wants Callan killed. Avery knows she has to do something to save him.

Callan figures out that Avery is the one who tipped off the police, and he can't leave town without making sure she is safe. When he arrives, it becomes apparent very quickly how they feel about each other. They leave town, but the Gypsies aren't the only people after them. Not to mention, not all law enforcement can be trusted.

The next book in this series is entitled Revenge and is about Callan's brother, Lincoln. I'm looking forward to what happens next in this series.

4.0 out of 5 stars On the Run 11 May 2014

Avery Watkins life is not the best. Dealing with an alcoholic father who is abusive and steals her money for his beer is a big problem. She sees no way of escaping the nightmare that she lives on a daily basis. For as long as she can remember she's had the hots for Callan Tilley a member of the Thunder Gypsies MC. When Avery overhears members of the MC discussing committing murder she is shocked. Especially when she realizes that they are talking about Callan. She doesn't know what to do. When she realizes Callan is coming into the bar she does the only thing she can think of, she calls the police.

When Callan realizes that his sweet Avery was the one who saved him he can do nothing but take her with him on the run. He knows about her home life and refuses to leave her behind to deal with the MC who are trying to kill him.

When he finally convinces her that running is the best thing to do for both of them the adventures truly begin.
