Okay, so I'm a bit of a fangirl of Ms Battany's. I love her storytelling, her ability to face the grit of life and still have her characters survive the mess of life. And I love that she's an Aussie writer. 😍
I enjoyed every moment of 'Call Me Lucy'. The light and heavy, the frustrating and funny parts, too. I almost cried a few times when Lucy almost cried, and I warmed up quickly to grumpy-bum Billy. *swoon*
I am SO LOOKING FORWARD to the next books in the series. Yay to more of Lillian and Blake... (oh boy, is HE going to be a fun character!) and please let us hear about Gabby and her crush! Please!! Cos I love Gabby.
Oh!! And it was great seeing Leila and... uh, oh, Jacob? My mind has gone blank! Anyway, I thought the family connection was perfect!
Thank you for writing, Ms Battany. I look forward to pre-ordering your next book once you finish it (10k words... you can do it!!). 😀
Wow I gotta say I've read heaps of books for lots of writers and there was always something that I could pick on that took away from the story like grammar errors or story doesn't flow well or details in chapters don't add up.but this book was the first one from this author and I gotta say I will definitely be reading more of her titles cause her story flowed so easily and there was no contradicting details. Everything from the characters to the storyline was well thought of. I loved all the characters even Tyler tho his actions made me angry I felt sorry for him poor guy . But Billy you're a gem. Looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Now I'm gonna read Jacob and Leila's book
