I recommend this guide along with Michael Matthews' other related guide titled 'Maximum Muscle'. Together, they have helped me shave off 16 kilograms of fat and now I am working on the last few kilos of 'stubborn' fat which is explained clearly by Matthews. After having read volumes on the subject, and with my own background in Medical Science and Physiology, the combination of these two books do actually cut through the 'BS' to give the reader a clear understanding of the otherwise complex science of optimising one's body composition through the correct exercises combined with an individual approach to balancing the correct amounts of macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates & fat) for the best outcome.

Mike delivers again. I'm a rookie gym rat at age 65. For me, and from the title, I thought it might be the giant loophole I was looking for to get away from cardio, maybe even altogether. No chance!
I've read and applied the advice in most of Mike's books. It's a big help to my goal of losing weight and building muscle. Yes, there is some repetition in parts, but that is, after all, the way we learn and remember. Mike's common sense and conversational style, backed by research, deliver info, advice, and plenty of examples. In this book, specifically, he presents several methods to jack up one's cardio routine to get more variety and burn more calories faster. I'm not there yet, but Mike has set me some goals. BTW, let's be grateful to him and Amazon for making a lot of his work available and affordable!

Most would say the his books aren't necessarily breaking new ground here, and that Mike repeat himself in every book, and that's what I really like about his books and articles, that the information that works is the same, it has been always the same, without any changes or extra hard routines that give little or no results whatsoever.

In this book you will find the information that works for doing cardio, getting in shape and loosing fat, the same information you will find in his other books ( which I bought them all), that's the beauty here, just the information that works and that I need. I love that, I was trying of following pieces of advices in magazines that changes in every new edition and I was only getting very confused with little results.

I recommend this book is straight forward and very easy to read, and if you have any doubt just send your questions to Mike and his team, they will answer them no matter which question you have (I already did it :-) they were very kind with my concern.
