5.0 out of 5 stars Joe & Lana together is like a volcano in activity ready to erupt!
By Taoane on 11 September 2018
This is my first book from Sarah Darlington but won’t the last.

Joe Coffee had a very complicated past, and his sister even worst, and because of her mistakes Joe is forced to spy on Lana Bitterman the owner o Java Bean, but Joe & Lana together is like a volcano in activity ready erupt.

The chemistry they have together is so strong that Joe realises he has to fight from the blackmailing for both of his women, his sister and Lana.

My heart hurt for Joe in so many parts of this book, and Lana she looks so keep together, but looks can be deceiving.

What I can tell you is: this book is emotional, mystery with romance, got me angry so many times that I want to slap people face and I can't bloody wait for the second book Ms Darlington!

Hurry up, please!

Sarah Darlington – But First, Coffee (Love & Coffee, #1)

“Ready to expand her coffee empire, Lana Bitterman does what any smart and fierce CEO would do— she decides to promote the highest selling barista in her company. Joe Coffee. But Joe Coffee isn’t just a handsome barista with a great name. He also inexplicably has an engineering degree from MIT and an almost-degree from Harvard Law. The more Lana researches Joe, the deeper into his past she falls. And from the moment he walks into her office, she knows she wants him. Not just as an employee. As more. But little does she know, Joe has more secrets than a few unexplained degrees. He’s there because he was sent there.”

I honestly don’t know what I should say about this one except that it wasn’t my cup of tea. See what I did there? And now seriously, this book is a Dark Romance book and I didn’t read one of them before this. I think I can say this is not my style of book I like and I feel like it could have been way darker. It just didn’t pull me in. I even skipped some of the parts because it just didn’t hold my attention. Wasn’t my book. Everyone has his own taste in books I guess and this was definitely not mine. Doesn’t mean it was bad or any of that, just not my type of book. I’m glad I read it though, because I did fly through it for multiple reasons and I did finish within 24 hours. I would love to tell you all I loved this book to the moon and back, but I simply didn’t. The cover is beautiful and the story was creatively thought of, but not really thought out the way I expected it would be. I’m just going to leave it here.
The book wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t my kind of book either, so for me, it wasn’t that good either. I don’t think I would recommend it to others soon, only if they ask me for a dark romance book because this is probably the one and only I’m ever going to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book!!!

This is my first book by Sarah Darlington and I was impressed with But First, Coffee. I found several teasers while mindlessly exploring social media and decided that I was far too intrigued with them to let the chance to read and review this particular book. I love finding new authors and Darlington has now add herself to my TBR because I definitely want to get my hands-on other books she’s written! But First Coffee had an original storyline but it was more than that that sucked me in. The story was extremely well written and immensely entertaining. I wasn’t expecting to get so lost in the story that before I knew it several hours had passed, but that is exactly what happened. I found myself entirely surprised by several events in the book, the plot twists in this book definitely took me by surprise. They were heartbreaking on one hand but also made the story stand out for me amongst others in this category. I should warn readers, you will definitely be leaving this book seriously flustered! Fresh panties are going to be a must, so prepare yourself accordingly. And see if you don’t fall in-love with Joe Coffee because he’s irresistible!!! Do yourself a favor and get your hands on a copy of this book asap so that you can discover Sarah Darlington’s talents for yourself. I’m sure you’ll find yourself in the same predicament that I found myself… immediately searching out other books by the author because one was simply not enough!!!
