My son is a small 9.5m old. We are doing Baby Led Weaning, but even when I feed him, it's a mess. I LOVE these long sleeve bibs.
This item did not come with a wet bag to store in if you use it on the go. Not a deal breaker, but just something to make note of. I have received other brand bibs that did come with one.
The material is kind of thin and lightweight, but that doesn't seem to affect how it works.
Ties in the back help you get it a bit tighter than the ones with velcro. I like the ease of velcro, but the ties are ok.
One thing that I notice is if you don't get it tied tightly there is a gap in the neck. Even though this bib covers from neck to wrist, it can be helpful to put another small bib underneath to catch chin runners.
I put this on after strapping in the baby and put it over his lap. It does not 100% prevent items from getting on his legs if he decides to touch them but it is so much nicer to just wipe his face, neck, and hands and then take this off.
That reminds me - the way the sleeves end at the wrist on these bibs is IMO much better than the other brand I purchased. I tried to get a pick of how they close. I don't have to roll them up to keep his hands from slipping back into the sleeve.
The sizing is great and I expect this bib to last us a long time.
Here is is feeding himself some banana yogurt. That turned out to be a worse idea than I expected, but clean up was a breeze!
They are machine wash (air dry only) and they don't ever have stains on them like some cotton bibs of the past.
I love that my kid doesn't get smashed food that is all over his/her face transferred to his shirt because we know kids think dinner time is art class, science expertimenting, potty break, and just general ways to get out of eating. But these bibs are a godsend in saving you on having to stain treat outfit after outfit.
My only issue with these bibs is IF your kid would happen to try to pull and pull to get it off, it is a tie string and so a couple of bibs I've had over the years have ripped away from the seams. BUT, they are still functional.
For any new moms or second time moms or people shopping for baby shower gifts, go with these. I wore a bib like this when I was a baby over 33 years ago and these suckers are still going strong.
We ended up returning it :(
