Product Description

The first in the new SAINTS OF DENVER series from NYT bestselling author of the MARKED MEN series, Jay Crownover

Sometimes you have to tear everything down to build something new…

Sayer Cole is frozen inside. At least, that’s what it’s felt like for as long as she can remember. She’s yet to let anyone past her icy exterior – and the one guy she thinks might melt her heart couldn’t possibly be interested in someone so uptight.

Rough, hard and hot-as-hell, Zeb Fuller has rebuilt his life and his construction business since protecting his family sent him to jail all those years ago. His elegant client, Sayer, makes him feel like a Neanderthal in denim, but despite the many hints that he’s been dropping to get to know her better, she seems oblivious to his charms.

Just as things finally start to heat up, Zeb’s past comes back to haunt him and he needs Sayer’s professional help to right a wrong and to save more than himself. As these opposites dig in for the fight of their lives, fire and ice collide in an unstoppable explosion of steam…

The fabulous Jay Crownover has done it again. She sucked me in from the first page and transported me into another world. Loved the fact that Sayer wasn't always warm and fuzzy and she had demons that she wasn't always able to control. Zeb is her perfect match and his loyalty and devotion to her were heartbreaking. If you love a good romance then read Built!

Dang! Give me that handyman
Jay Crownover has done it again! A fantastic introduction to a new series, while still interweaving the characters we all know and love.
All I can say is - give me the next one!

The main characters in the book are lovely sensitive caring people as we get told over and over again. On the other hand characters outside the group are or were abusive and manipulating. It is a matter of the goodies and the baddies with no one in-between.

While I am no prude, the sex scenes go on for pages and pages with no detail missed. Good writing about sex should leave something to the imagination, in this book nothing is left to the imagination which I find is a turn off. My definition of porn is when they go at it from the first page and chic-lit is when the first big sex scene is 50% of the way through. In this book it is 40% with many follow ups.

The book is too long. We know how it will end but it takes a ages to get there with no surprises. There are many long boring passages where the author rambles.

I won’t be reading any further books from this author.

4,5 stars!
I have probaby said this before. But I love this woman!
Jay Crownover is one of the best author these days.
This book is connected somehow to the Marked Men series. Thank Jay for her. I will never be ready to let them go completely.
Sayer and Zeb are perfect for each other. But due to their lifes, their pasts, they think that the other one deserves better.
Sayer is not the typical heroine we have seen before in Jay's books. But I like her a lot. And Zeb...once again, Jay Crownover has created a wonderful man. I don't know where she gets the inspiration. She must have amazing men in her family and her life.
BTW, Poppy deserves a happy ending...I'm just saying...
