Product Description

He’s willing to lose his honor to claim her, but first he must save her.

The Preor emperor bestowed honors on warrior Brukr sen Zak’lu centuries ago—honors he does not deserve. Since then, he has fought to prove himself worthy of the emperor’s support. He works to protect and care for the females within Preor Tower no matter how difficult they make his task. One female constantly disregards orders and makes his duty nearly impossible. Hannah—with her flowing hair, teasing smiles, and generous curves—torments him with what he cannot have. He aches for her like no other, his dragon rages when he leaves her side, but without the Knowing stretching between them he cannot claim her. Or can he?

Genetic modifications have changed Hannah’s appearance, but they can’t change her past. To atone, she steps into the spotlight as a spokesperson for Cole-Daven and moves into Preor Tower. Every day she struggles to convince other humans to accept Cole-Daven’s treatment for Pol Mutation. She also fights her attraction to one specific alien Preor. They’re not mates, but everything in her craves the large, muscular, deliciously tempting dragon shifting warrior.

With her exposure to the public, Hannah now has humans after her. Some want to possess her, others want to torture her, and many want to kill her. That is unacceptable to Brukr and he will tell them so… with his war blades.

Love this series. Love the big strong and very literal warriors. Can't wait for the next home in this series.

Hannah was interesting and likeable. Her past was terrible but what a strong character she was to do what she did about her father and what a stigma to live with. Then to have Eric do what he did for 10 years. Oh boy. I hated that her father’s past kept catching up to her but I believe that Eric was manipulating it to keep her running and changing appearance to suit his purposes.
Brukr, what to say about this troubled warrior and dragon who has not liked themselves for centuries. He may believe he was dishonourable but I do not think that; by going back into the battle to save the Emperor he showed a strength of character that few possess. He was only young and one can only imagine the horrors of a REAL war, not the imaginings of a child which is basically what he was.
Once again Pol Mutation interferes in The Knowing but I love that even without it these brave strong warriors will follow their hearts first. Sigh!
Brukr and Hannah were well matched with their pasts and fantastic for each other’s heart and souls.
Had a feeling something was up with Eric from the beginning, he was too controlling. Loved what happened to him but for what he put Hannah through he got off lightly.
I loved the idea of Liquid’s to build an escape island for the Preor, they need somewhere to switch off and relax.
What is going on between Argan, Vende and Liquid?? I really hope they do not get into series trouble, you have me worried Ms Kyle. I hope this book is next.
This is my honest review of this book.

Although I enjoyed Brukr, I felt that the pacing was a little messed up. I found that as things reached their natural conclusion, the story was far from over so we went through the usual hoops of denial and wanting until the true ending tumbled along.

I really liked our couple and although they had more chemistry than Elle and Ivoth in book 7, Hannah and Brukr were better characters individually than as a couple. Hannah's backstory was kickass though could have used better execution. Brukr's history wasn't fleshed out so that you rallied for him, rather you hoped that he got on with it and stopped wallowing in self doubt and self loathing.

I'm not sure how things escalated so quickly between the Engineering Master and Argan? (the yellow guy) but I hope the series improves in the next installment.

Lastly, I'm glad they stopped calling Ivoth's crew the quad and now refer to them as the quintet.
