Rainy Day Adventure has been formatted to be read in landscape mode (holding your device horizontally), where it takes up the entire screen. Words and pictures display together on the screen like a traditional picture book open to two pages. A lot of self published Kindle authors can't be bothered to format their work and it displays like a mess with bits of text on one page and an image on a small part of the screen on another, so I always like to take the time to point out when authors care about their reader's experience and their own work enough to take the time to format it.
Basically starts off with best friends, who somehow become brother and sister by the end of it. The girl goes into the closet and puts on a lion mask, then I thought it was missing a page or something as we're suddenly the two kids have become walking on a path in a forest with a giant beehive and butterfly as big as their head and are lost. Obviously the girl's imagination has taken them somewhere new with singing tigers, duck cheerleaders and turtle with a soccerball instead of a shell. Even though the story isn't quite the best, the illustrations are quite well done.
