The "air hole" - a check valve on the bottom of the bottle that allows air in, but does not allow air or water out - is frankly unnecessary; the idea is that more air can enter the bottle while water leaves it when you squeeze. If you don't have an *extremely* arthritic grip this isn't likely to be a problem. I'm probably going to just super-glue the one in my bottle shut at some point.
Little bag is very useful - nobody knows you are about to water your bum after you take a dump. Also, be sure to let your unit dry out after use, as water otherwise stays plugged (I imagine it could mould, and that would be dank).
There is also a metallic "Plug" at the bottom you are supposed to place your hand over when flipping the bottle, to prevent spillage. Still not entirely clear on the use of it, as there is spilling no matter what, and you are more likely to drop the whole bidet into the toilet trying to maneuver with a thumb positioned over the bottom. Hasn't happened yet, but nearly. Not supposed to poop on the bidet.
Also, be it noted that you cannot carry water with you - I often try to quietly fill it in the sink before a visit to the porcelain pooper.
Pros: the bottle is very flexible and easy to squeeze, the spout is at a good angle for spraying once you have it in position. Nice travel bag.
Cons: Very leaky and messy to use. It can't hold water, this I already knew this from other reviewers. So I was prepare to fill it at the sink, use it all and store until next use. What I didn't know was that when you fill it with water at the sink and carry it to the toilet water will leak. When you flip it over to start spraying your bum, more water will leak and spray everywhere. It is very hard to control and water will spill on the toilet seat and around it.
- not good for travelling due to leaks and can't hold water.
otherwise very pleased. I do think it could have held a little more water either 500 or 600 ml would have been great.
I don't have any of the issues of it dripping.
The bottle has some issues, because it has a hole that you have to press so it won't get water out. Kind of strange working, since it spits water here and there.
The experience is good enough. To travel. I would search for other alternatives to have at home.
I just used it at a summer festival instead of the single ply toilet paper in a portapotty. Takes some getting used to and does create extra water around the toilet as you're trying to position it in place. Would be more clean with an on/off button to block flow. Better than nothing, but I still miss my real bidet back home. There were a number of times I still needed lots of toilet paper after this.
This travel version gets the job done, but it is a little hard to maneuver at first. There also tends to be a lot of water splashing about just getting it into position.
That said, I was able to enjoy the same comfort and hygiene while away from my home version and am glad I had it with me.
Couple of things to note. You and the toilet seat will get wet, so you will need either a bit of TP or a cloth to dry. It has a long spout so you can manoeuvrer yourself to minimize seat wetness. My only complaint is that it has an air valve on the bottom to allow for squeezing the water out. This valve leaks water so you cannot leave the bottle constantly filled. You need to fill it just before each use.
