Product Description

Novella adaptation of the science fiction screenplay “Broken Sky”...

A quiet, desolate setting: a cluster of old buildings isolated out on an empty plain. Overhead, the alien sky is a smear of reds and purples; a shell enclosing the world.

Living in this collection of broken down buildings are ten people, once strangers to one another, all taken from their past lives and transported to this barren world. They survive by gathering supplies that mysteriously materialize and are left out on the landscape, seemingly coming from out of nowhere. These materializations can be anything, and can come from any time in history. It might be a crate of oranges, a grove of trees, the interior of someone’s office; or a person...

But supplies have grown increasingly scarce, and the group decides to strike out across the plain toward a range of mountains that has materialized on the horizon.

Industry feedback re screenplay:
“Great visuals and a really effective atmosphere of foreboding.”
“Inventive script with an inspired world…unique and highly visual.”

3.0 out of 5 stars Strangers in a broken Wonderland 19 November 2015
By Sandra F. - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
It isn't a long book but it was rather hard to get into it. It kind of plods along in the beginning, but once the plot really starts to develop it's more interesting. A new twist on a bunch of people and things suddenly appearing in a place with no explanation and trying to find a way to survive. The end of the book reminds me a little of Zelazny's Amber books, although not as well developed or with as many twists. It was okay but it didn't exactly leave me wanting more. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Broken Sky 23 May 2016

I really enjoyed this book...thought the characters were well written , really good storyline that kept you thinking what was going on and if they were going to leave the dimension they were in...a good mixture of people...Kinda of short , but I liked it anyway....I received this book for free for an honest review
3.0 out of 5 stars Short and not too sweet. 21 November 2015
By Paul Miller - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I know this short book was in the Sci-Fi genre but it was too short to allow the story to develop into a completed tale. The plot, such as it was, was original however the jumps in the actions of the characters and their relationships were too sudden. This was not surprising given the brevity of this story, that could have been used as an intro into a short series of adventures based on this theme.
