Product Description

You walk up to field, thinking nothing can get better than this. My life has been all about sports, women and my family. I'm the MVP of my life. I'm unstoppable, nothing can break me.
Until one day, she walked up to field to watch me play. In softball, there isn't a lot that can trip me up. But this girl, did just that. She is my equal on and off the field. I'm no longer the MVP of my game. She stole it from me.

Now, when I walk up to the plate. I have two options, swing for the fences or strike out looking.
The love for the game combined with the love for her could leave me broken.

There's a great description of the characters feelings/emotions. You get the great high when the characters are together and know that they are truly happy and then of course the bubble burst and you get the sadness from past and current events. Another great story, love the conversations between main characters. They're like the friends next door.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved the fact it is told from the Blake's POV...he had a lot to say! 1 February 2017

I loved the fact the story was told from the male point of view because Blake certainly had a lot to say.
Miranda on the other hand wasn’t exactly my cup of tea, I found her more than a little confusing and at times, she just downright pi**ed me off.
Blake took a lot more attitude from Miranda than many men would have and while at times that was a little frustrating, but in other respects I think the author was very clever because it also worked, in as much as it also gave me a chance to see the independent streak that ran right through Miranda.
Blake stuck with it though everything and was determined to win her over, or perhaps wear her down might be a better turn of phrase.
While his determination was absolutely endearing, I thought that Miranda seemed a little too measured, she had an aura of almost defiance that she hid behind, could Blake chip away at her walls?
The book was well written giving solid characters the opportunity to express both their good and bad sides, after all no-one is perfect and I think that is what I took from this. They both made mistakes but in the end, they brought out my emotions and I couldn’t help but fall for them…well Blake actually but its all the same really!
5.0 out of 5 stars #BROKEME 2 February 2017
By Jennifer Pierson: The Power of Three Readers - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Blake is a successful young man, who loves to spend his free time playing softball, and hooking up with women. Everything is going along well, when he meets Miranda, who is going to turn his easy going life upside down. He can't get her out of his head, and yet, he can't get her to go out with him either. They do end up spending more time together, as they get her to play on the coed team, since Miranda is even better than he is on the field. But she has serious demons, so she keeps most people, especially men, at arms length. However, with Blake's in it to win it mentality, and Miranda's stubbornness, who ends up on top of this battle of wills?

This story literally had me foaming at the mouth with frustration and anger. That's not to say that I didn't love it, because I did, but both Blake and Miranda made mistakes that had me screaming out loud like they could hear me. The push and pull is what makes Broken intensely emotional, on top of me seeing red. It's told in Blake's POV, but I'm hoping that the author will add in book with Miranda's POV, as she was just as frustrating. This is the first book that I've read by Kristine Dugger, and her talented writing style has me ready for more, as I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough, along with the intense dramatic girly girl emotions she pulled out of me. A few twists in there made for loud f-bomb dropping moments, and well placed humor gave me a break laughing. I'm definitely ready for more of this series, so I'll end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING Broken to ALL!
