Quaint lovestoryReviewed in the United States on 17 April 2016
Helen has done herself well. A story off heartache, defiance, doubt, determination, perseverance and true, 'lasting love of Alex and Fabia. The beauty of this story was that 'hot sex' was not a part of the story. I love it.

And the Bride Wore Black by Helen BrooksReviewed in the United States on 27 February 2013
Very rarely do I write a review of a Harlequin book, in fact, I believe this is my first. I have been reading Harlequins for decades. Therefore, for me to actually sit down and write a review is unheard of. Until now. This book knocked me for a loop to put it mildly. I loved it. I laughed so hard, gritted my teeth and cussed the heroine, fell in love with the hero and did not want the book to end. It is an older book, so there really isn't the very graphic sex - which is fine. Actually, this book does not need it. I gave this book a 4, but wanted to give a 4.5. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is because I felt the heroine was too slow on the uptake. No female is that naive. Just being honest. However, because of her history which I will not go into, I felt she was handled amazingly well by the author. Read this book people - it is not one you will forget about, unlike 95% of most Harlequins.

Alex needed a favor from Fabia. Pretend to be his fiancee for the holidays. His grandmother was dying. And wanted to see him settled down. But while there she finds out that he just might have someone on the side. Will they get together or will it just be pretend?
It's goodReviewed in the United States on 21 July 2015
If you are a fan of Helen Brooks, you will like this book. It is written in her usual style, a little tame compared to most Harlequin's. The main characters have good chemistry, good dialogue and the storyline is believable.
