I had been using a $10 kitchen scale that was "accurate" to grams, and only after a second or two lag. That made measuring grounds and getting the water right tricky. Having instant 0.1 gram accuracy is the biggest improvement this scale makes.
I really appreciate the ratio function too: it will measure the coffee grounds and calculate the amount of water to add based on your desired ratio. That means you don't have to have a specific amount of grounds which makes things easier
The scale itself is attractive, durable, and the battery lasts ages. The removable cover makes it easy to keep clean. My only complaint is that it flashes when you are getting close to the right amount of water which I find a little annoying. Highly recommended overall!
