HASH(0xb0e9ada4) out of 5 stars Review Courtesy of BOMBB 18 November 2015
By Helena Rizzuto - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Review courtesy of Back Off My Book Boyfriend....

Where do I start? I feel as if this author has written a ton of books before because this story read as non debut story. That being said....

What a great story!! I love the highlights on staying true to oneself and the struggles that our military have when returning stateside. I felt a great connect with the characters and dare I say.... Loved the kids!! Hannah was a greatly written character and I truly do appreciate that she wasn't a simpering miss nor was she ever intended to be one. The writing comes across strong in this book that I feel like I may have been in the book. Finley, oh the man Finley.... I was torn between lust and compassion but intimately, they BOTH won out. His character development was very well plotted out and executed. While I get he was a "fictional" character, I could easily identify in him someone I know.

I will recap in saying that I swear this can't be the authors first book because I'm itching for the next book!! With a swoon worthy hero who has kids and cherishes them to the strong and confident heroine who yes, we all aspire to be..... BOMBB proudly gives this book 5 quacks!

HASH(0xad5cf6c0) out of 5 stars Destined to be a family!!!! Love Fin and Hannah 28 March 2016
By Shannon Mc - Published on Amazon.com

Love love loved this book. This was such a sweet, moving, thoughtful read. While there were parts of sadness and life difficulties mixed in, this book just made my heart happy. Fin is a sweet caring single dad, and seriously who can resist an amazing single dad who does on his kiddos? Hannah is a go-getter, nervous to open her heart and take a chance on love. The love and sense of family when they are all together is truly amazing. Hannah and Avery were quite the pair, and their relationship pulled on my heartstrings. I read this book in one sitting and didn't want it to end. I cannot wait to read more from this author. I NEED more Fin in my life!

HASH(0xadfb6e04) out of 5 stars The Pupils of Love 18 February 2016
By Ana CastaƱeda - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Teacher-student romances have apparently become my best tabboo plots when reading. Giving a chance to debut novelists is also part of my one-clicking habit lately. So, after having checked the blurb for Breeze, aside from falling in love with both the simplicity and depth of the cover, and learning it was Ashley Hampton's first published book, helped me made up my mind. So, I one-clicked it.

Admittedly, I got to meet Ms. Hampton before her book. Some blogs have already mentioned it and given it good revews. So, it was logical for me to give it a try. Imagine my surprise when I devoured it in two days and became as connecte as any reader can be with the heroine of the book.

Hannah--Breeze--is a professor at Wilmington college whose unique teaching-learning style attracgted me to its plot from the very first chapters. Being a teacher myself, this romantic story became more than a book to me; it became the realisation of how romance, yes, that typical woman-meets-man-and-sparks-fly-everywhere can be written in such a real scenario. I particularly believe great books not only let you escape, but if you are found immersed and connected to the characters and their story, its message would have a whole new meaning to you.

Hannan meets Igor Finley --Fin-- in and out of the classroom. He is that perfect student who commits to his classes, his homework and his appearance. Appearance? Yes, if he wants to take their relationship to a new level. And that he is a wonderful father to both of his children? That's right. However, Fin has his own luggage: he suffers from PTSD and he is assisting to college to be able to get his major as well as learn how to cope with his life out of the military.

Breeze is the first book in the Southern Rock Lyrics Series. Some of Breeze's friends will eventually have their own book, and Miss Hampton will gift us with a novella of Hannan and Fin after Breeze's ending.

Learning about Hannah's personality and her reasons why she is always on the run, plus Fin's journey to recovering from what he lived and his devotion and fight for his children are told in dual POVs. This experience is relevant to the story in order to understand the charachters' decisions, fears, and new illusions. Breeeze's second and thrid characters will helpt these two love birds achieve their personal and professional goals.

Dear reviewers, apologies if my words and rate are a lot biased, but when magic hits reality, heroines and heroes stay close to your heart and they even leave you wondering if real-life HEAs exist.

All in all, Fin's words to his baby boy speak louder than any rate: "Owen, I'm the luckiest man in the world. I came back from the war beaten and broken. I have you and Avery to make me smile every day. And that woman in my bed. Little man, I hope you're lucky enough to have a goddess like her one day. She is more than my wildest dreams coming true. But it's time for her to leave us so we will have to be strong and let her go. She deserves this, buddy." Curious enough?

HASH(0xad5cf3fc) out of 5 stars You will fall in love with Hannah and Finley...and the whole gang! 10 February 2016
By J. Davis - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I had originally planned to read this book over 2 days. I ended up finishing it at 12:30 a.m. I was HOOKED!

Hanna is a Psychology professor with her heart set on a position at Wilmington College and a house on the beach, which is hours away from where she's currently teaching at Thurston College. This has been her goal for years, and she's determined not to let anyone or anything stand in her way. She has a great group of friends (Will, Nate and Stacy) who support and love her.

Finley has just moved back home to Thurston after his discharge from the Marines due to PTSD. He's the single father of 2 (Avery and Owen) and enrolls at Thurston College. He knows he needs a degree so he can provide for his kids, but he isn't prepared for Dr. Walker...Hannah Walker.

The characters are so realistic. Hannah is a strong woman. She stands up for what she believes in and loves with her whole heart. Finley is best described as a bad-ass Marine that wears his heart on his sleeve. He has heart-to-heart talks with his mom, plays with his kids and <wait for it> voices his feelings. <----SWOON!!!

Will, Nate and Stacy are also amazing, but I don't want to give too much away. I will say that I can't wait for their stories!

Avery and Owen are the sweetest kids ever!!

There is some "outside drama" that takes place, but I absolutely LOVE that it took a backseat to the main story with Hannah and Finley. It was hinted at, brought up and then dealt with in a quiet manner. You can guess at what happened and focus on the love story instead of the drama...THANK YOU ASHLEY!!

My thoughts immediately after finishing Breeze: I couldn't get enough of Finley! Hannah...love a girl that doesn't take BS and goes after what she wants. Nate..omg poor Nate. Will and Stacy...I can't wait to see what she's hiding. Avery and Owen...ADORABLE!

My road to be able to actually read this book has been challenging. Thank goodness I had an angel, in the form of Ms. Ashley Hampton, to help me along the way. I read in paperback so had to wait my turn for the paperback to be published. We used humor and almost a "buddy-system" to get through this long wait. When my "turn" came I could not click fast enough to purchase. THEN Ashley started to worry that all this waiting would make the book not as good...she had a momentary lapse in confidence. Well...Ms. Hampton your wait is over.
I LOVED this book. LOVED Ashley...it's official denise bailey LOVED this book. I never give spoilers when I review so won't start now. It only disrespects the author. That this is a debut was shocking for me as the writing was magical. It was tight, she had a rock solid story to tell, and most importantly is she had a very deep cast of characters. She could literally make a career from the characters introduced throughout the story. Obviously boy meets girl...a no brainer...but what happens before this first meeting and after this event were very important to the reader. I loved that she gave us humor when we needed a break and seriousness when needed. This book could be thought of by some as a simple romance but they would be sorely mistaken because it was not. It was complex and I found myself becoming emotionally invested in our primary characters. What I found extraordinary in this book was that I was almost as invested in the secondary characters. I hear something and want to stay with that moment and know more. How dare she move along! This is exceptional writing folks. This young lady has serious writing chops. We had a completely full story and yet we have more to come with a cliffhanger. How will this new relationship work and what trouble may lie ahead for our couple and the secondary characters. This book not only met but it exceeded my expectations. I won't even bat an eye when I see an "Ashley Hampton" book now. For any of you who happen upon my review I urge you to purchase this book and get ready for a sequel. I can see at least five or six from this book alone. Nagging alert Ashley :-). I am very proud of your work and you should be beyond proud of yourself. This was a real gem and I can proudly say it was well worth the wait. Thank you so very much for working with me and encouraging me when I felt down. I want folks to know you are an author who cares about her readers. denise bailey
