5.0 out of 5 stars A Long Way To Breeze!!! 14 January 2016

My road to be able to actually read this book has been challenging. Thank goodness I had an angel, in the form of Ms. Ashley Hampton, to help me along the way. I read in paperback so had to wait my turn for the paperback to be published. We used humor and almost a "buddy-system" to get through this long wait. When my "turn" came I could not click fast enough to purchase. THEN Ashley started to worry that all this waiting would make the book not as good...she had a momentary lapse in confidence. Well...Ms. Hampton your wait is over.
I LOVED this book. LOVED Ashley...it's official denise bailey LOVED this book. I never give spoilers when I review so won't start now. It only disrespects the author. That this is a debut was shocking for me as the writing was magical. It was tight, she had a rock solid story to tell, and most importantly is she had a very deep cast of characters. She could literally make a career from the characters introduced throughout the story. Obviously boy meets girl...a no brainer...but what happens before this first meeting and after this event were very important to the reader. I loved that she gave us humor when we needed a break and seriousness when needed. This book could be thought of by some as a simple romance but they would be sorely mistaken because it was not. It was complex and I found myself becoming emotionally invested in our primary characters. What I found extraordinary in this book was that I was almost as invested in the secondary characters. I hear something and want to stay with that moment and know more. How dare she move along! This is exceptional writing folks. This young lady has serious writing chops. We had a completely full story and yet we have more to come with a cliffhanger. How will this new relationship work and what trouble may lie ahead for our couple and the secondary characters. This book not only met but it exceeded my expectations. I won't even bat an eye when I see an "Ashley Hampton" book now. For any of you who happen upon my review I urge you to purchase this book and get ready for a sequel. I can see at least five or six from this book alone. Nagging alert Ashley :-). I am very proud of your work and you should be beyond proud of yourself. This was a real gem and I can proudly say it was well worth the wait. Thank you so very much for working with me and encouraging me when I felt down. I want folks to know you are an author who cares about her readers. denise bailey

5.0 out of 5 stars Destined to be a family!!!! Love Fin and Hannah 28 March 2016
By Shannon Mc - Published on Amazon.com

Love love loved this book. This was such a sweet, moving, thoughtful read. While there were parts of sadness and life difficulties mixed in, this book just made my heart happy. Fin is a sweet caring single dad, and seriously who can resist an amazing single dad who does on his kiddos? Hannah is a go-getter, nervous to open her heart and take a chance on love. The love and sense of family when they are all together is truly amazing. Hannah and Avery were quite the pair, and their relationship pulled on my heartstrings. I read this book in one sitting and didn't want it to end. I cannot wait to read more from this author. I NEED more Fin in my life!

Breeze by Ashley Hampton -First book in the Southern Rock Series
***********
ARC Received - Honest Review
*************
I adored this book. Ms. Hampton touches on sensitive subjects, such as PTSD, very well and the characters are believable, as well as lovable.
I feel like you can see this author's writing growing with the book along the way. Every chapter seemed like she became more comfortable in her writer's chair.
Hannah is a runner, but where will she run?
Finley is a protector, but who will protect him?
These two are brought together in an atmosphere where it is almost impossible to be, but will they find a way through it?
Will Hannah run?
Will Finley let her?
Breeze is definitely an enjoyable read for me and I look forward to more in this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story! 13 April 2016

I loved Hannah & Finley's story! I was so hooked on these characters & the story that I really hated to adult! I just wanted to read! Hannah is such a likable character! She knows what she wants in life & goes after it! Finley is broken but an amazing person & dad! I feel in love with his little family!

I loved watching their relationship grow! It was nice to watch the love develop & not this "insta" love like so many books have! The story was great along with amazing secondary characters!

I loved this book & loved book #2 too! Can't wait for book #3!

4.0 out of 5 stars Touching, heartfelt, emotional, sexy, flirtatious 23 January 2016

What a great read! I cannot stress how much I love books that deal with a strong, but emotionally scarred man who thrives under the love of a capable woman. That is what this book was to me. Couldn't wait to see how it all turned out for Hannah and Finley. I am not one for spoilers...but I will say that this book, although pleasantly emotional at times, has a perfect blend of heat among a college professor and student, both adults with their own set of baggage. Touching, heartfelt, emotional, sexy, flirtatious. ...everything you want in a great read!
Some things I wish were developed a bit more, but in the end, it didn't really matter. Kept me engaged the whole time.
