Product Description

***Can be read as a standalone or as part of the Rock Falls series

Beth Rhodes has always had a game plan. Go to college. Get the perfect job. Get the perfect guy. Get the happily ever after she's always wanted. It is just her luck that everything falls into its precise place in her life. At least it seems that way until her blueprints go up in smoke. She loses the job she loves and her prince charming is turning out to be the villain of her fairytale instead. With failures and mistakes piling up on her doorstep, she knows something has to give—or she could very well end up paying for those mistakes with her life.

Braxton Bennett is lethal, both in the courtroom and in the ring. Two sides of him constantly wage war against one another, and to keep the internal bloodshed at bay, he allows himself to indulge in his violent vice. Suit by day and brawler by night aren’t easy dual lives to manage for a man of his status. The only way to do so is by following a strict set of rules—rules he won’t break for anyone. But what if he already has?

On a summer night in the depths of the city, a chance encounter will turn both of their perfectly constructed worlds upside down.

Will they battle together against all odds to break Bennett’s rules? Or will Rhodes tap out to save herself before the fight is over?

Okay, I loved the underground fight club, I loved that Cinderella man saved the girl who was being assaulted in the alley by her boyfriend, I loved the predictable coincidence that followed.

I disliked the insta-love (declaring he wants to put a baby in her after a week!? moving in after three weeks?!?!) I didn't like the way he sometimes got rough with her when she was an abuse victim. I found it weird that he had anger issues, would constantly break and smash things, and yet she never felt scared in his presence. I really didn't like how possessive he was... actually, I really don't like how any of the men in this series is possessive. A little can be a turn on, but threatening to beat up every male friend their gf has? It's overkill and waaaaay OTT. I didn't like that his issues magically disappeared, all because he was with her. No. Doesn't happen like that.

This may have been my favourite had Braxton not sounded exactly like Greyson. I felt like I had read a lot of the romance stuff in both preceding books. While this storyline was different, nearly all the characters have the exact same voice. New couple each book, same main characters.

Okay, whining out of the way, I still really enjoyed it. I loved that it had a bit of suspense thrown in there as well in this one - A real villain to hate and wish bad things upon.

I am enjoying this series, but don't know if I can go another one. I fear it will be reading the same thing again. Strong alpha male. Girl who wants to be tough but caves as soon as he touches her.

Hands down this was the best book in the series. I loved the story line and who wouldn't want Brax as their Cinderella Man. This book had it all, suspense, love, hot steamy bossy alpha male, laughs and tears.

5.0 out of 5 stars If only there were really Bennetts in the legal profession... le sigh. 12 December 2015

So I think this is going to be my favorite book of the series. I just loved loved loved the hero in this book, Braxton Bennett. Braxton is many things. Dark. Edgy. Damaged. Tattooed. Rich. Alpha. Male. Attorney. One of these things is not like the other. Can you tell which? Yep, its that Attorney label. Let me tell you, I have been an attorney for a while now and I worked in the legal field for 8 years before I became a lawyer. I have never - NEVER - ever met an attorney like this. Seriously, it was my lament of law school. There were no good looking law students; most of the guys were weenie whiney manboys. And all the law firms I have encountered are divided into the older partners, or the absolutely average looking. So Braxton Bennet is my ultimate fantasy... if I could only find a real one. Le sigh.

I was so absorbed in Braxton that I can't even remember the heroine's name. Oh yeah, it's Beth (I had to look it up). Beth is Hannah's older sister and at the end of Choosing Henley, we discovered she was dating a major douche canoe. The douche has turned dangerous in this book, which results in her being rescued by the Cinderella Man. I liked Beth as much as you can like a girl who has something that you want. But that's about all that I have to say about her.

This book is one of insta-love... but I think that was necessary to work within the confines of the length because there was a plot conflict along with the romance, and that had to be developed and explored as well. I like that we got some suspense and bad guys in this book, it gave us something fresh and different from the earlier books in the series. I continue to love all of the secondary characters... but I am a sucker for that tattooed bad boy type so I would be right at home in this group of friends and family. (If I ever find out Anne based these guys on real people, I am moving to Canada.) 5 stars / 4 flames
5.0 out of 5 stars Braxton Bennett- He's Pure Alpha Male Book Boyfriend Material. 6 March 2015

Breaking Bennett is my favorite in the series so far!! It gives you everything you could want and more in a book.

A beautiful story filled with passion, heartache, secrets, and a strong love that will keep you up all night, flipping the pages as fast as you can.

Beth Rhodes, is attacked by a boyfriend she knew was spiraling, But she didn't want to admit, that something was wrong. Luckily the night she was attacked, a tattooed, fighter, "Cinderella" stepped in to save her.

Braxton Bennett isnt just a lawyer, who hides the secret world of underground fights. He's a powerful, complex man.

He'll be thrown into Beth's life once again. And they'll embark on a crazy ride.

They'll have to deal with a crazy ex, set on revenge.

Braxton's anger outbursts.

Crazy sexual tension.

And falling in love.

Beth was a character in this series i couldn't wait to read about. I wanted into her head. And once there you'll not want to leave. She's spunky, sassy, and a one tough cookie. She's dealt alot, but remains a strong person.

Braxton Bennett..... Oh man, what can i say about this man?

He's Pure Alpha Male Book Boyfriend Material.
Tattooed, Fights, Drives a sexy car, Rocks a suite, cocky, and he's a fiercely loyal, protective man.

Sorry, Greyson & Jami, Mr. Bennett is stealing my heart.

Beth & Braxton are my favorite couple in this series.

"My Cinderella."

"He is savage storm followed by a blissful calm, like the still that comes after a catastrophic earthquake or the deafing silence after a ruthless hurricane. He is the beauty in chaos, and I am undoubtedly in love with him."

I love the banter, and arguing, and hot searing kisses these two share.

"Kissing Braxton Bennett for the first time is like jumping from the plane when you skydive: terrifying, exhilarating, and the most exquisite kind of adrenaline rush."

I could read about them forever.

Breaking Bennett will be getting alot of Re-Reads from me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't get enough of Braxton & Beth!! 27 April 2016

Another great addition to the Rock Falls series! It was so easy to fall in love with Braxton & Beth!!

Yes, Braxton was over-the-top. He was a total alpha; I-control-your-orgasms, you-are-mine, no-man-touches-you kind of guy 24/7 and... I. Ate. It. Up. He was so damn sexy, whether he was in his suit or suited up to fight. I loved how he loved Beth from the get go & how he took care of her, never wanting to leave her side but doing it in a way that came across as romantic, instead of psychotic-stalker. He was a complete panty-melter. *le sigh*

Beth, the little spitfire, was awesome. I loved the attitude she slung at Braxton & the way she comforted him when things became too much for him. I hated that she had to go through that crap with Kyle but I was so relieved that Braxton helped her through it all. I'm so happy that she got to live her fairy tale!

I was jumping up & down when the bad guy got his just desserts & was stoked that Braxton was able to deliver a few punches to him before he got taken down! And the verrrryyyy end... PERFECTO! Ain't got nothing but mass amounts of love for Frank O'Leary!!

Very much looking forward to the next book in the series, Keeping King. Can't wait to see Peyton & Jayden burn up the sheets! :)

This is the story of Braxton & Beth. Or Cinderella & his Prince Charming. *grin* This is my FAVORITE in the series so far. Beth's story that we've been seeing glimpses of through the last book is a doozy. But from the moment Cinderella comes into her life... the healing begins. For both of them. : )

This story is INTENSE in passion, humor, sweetness, love, action, friendship... I can't even describe everything I loved about the story. But every moment of the interactions, the witty banter, the superb writing... this story just made me very happy! I'm moving right into book #4! : )

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! It’s funny because I actually started with the last book and am now working my way through from the beginning. Breaking Bennett is the 3rd book in the series and it has some of the best lines of any of the books...The love declarations from both Brax and Beth were perfect. Brax’s thoughts on love and insta-love were so swoony I almost fell out of my chair while reading.

Seeing the rest of the gang - though most of the time they appeared it wasn’t for the best of reasons -- was just the right cure for my book drought. These characters have come to be such a part of my world that I just adore them and can’t wait to keep reading and learning more about them.

So, I guess I should actually review this book, huh?! This story played out just how it should have. We knew that Kevin wasn’t someone the rest of the gang liked, but we had no idea his evil until this book. Poor Beth was so down when she stumbled upon Brax and yet their relationship went from zero to HOT in 0.2 seconds. And the slight humor that Ms Jolin throws in - even at the most intense times - makes me read with a smile more often than not.

Overall, this was just a perfect read for me. It was quick, light-hearted and serious at the same time, it had just enough romance and heat to keep me turning the pages. I can’t wait to see what she throws at us next!!
