Product description

Review

In her memoir titled Brave Enough Now, Tiffany Johnson has poignantly captured the harrowing experience of surviving the 1999 Swiss Canyoning Disaster at the Saxetenbach Gorge.

A story of inspiration, Tiffany has written this narrative non-fiction with humour, honesty and an appealing voice that will greatly captivate a myriad of readers.

She learnt many important life lessons along her journey of surviving not only this disaster, but also a toxic relationship that had damaging consequences on her mental health, and she has expertly expressed them for the benefit of readers.

Her writing is illuminating, entertaining and witty, and her words will provoke readers into contemplating their own self-journeys. Her story, whilst her alone, has the potential to resonate positively with a wide audience, due to Tiffany's engaging writing style.

Brave Enough Now is not just another memoir, it is a story of a significant historical event and a woman who was brave enough to share all the intimate shades of her experiences that lead up to that day, and that propelled her onwards and upwards.

Michele Perry

Inspiration to live your best life

'There are few people you meet that truly glow but Tiffany is one of these. Her loving radiance is evident as soon as you arrive in a space near her, her laughter infectious and her courage is phenomenal. Yet, her greatest gift for clients, for readers, is her ability to see your spirit and be able to intuit what is around you for you to become more fully 'in spirit'. So much of this messy life obscures our truth from us and it is Tiffany's gift that she can reveal the wisdom that can clear our path for us to connect to centre. Finding myself in a messy and painful chapter, with all my flaws exposed, it was Tiffany's sharing of wisdom and her innate ability to guide which began my healing so that I could begin the return to my own intuition, my wisdom and truth.'

Tiffany is an inspiring soul. I remain in-gratitude that she so generously shares her healing power through deep communication and love.

Barbara Long

'The Day I met Tiffany was the day that my outlook on life changed for the best. Tiffany has taught me how to feel safe, to trust my body is telling me and how to find peace and love in myself. Tiffany is one in a million with the most beautiful aura surrounding her. Being within her positive and peaceful presence is one of the most favourite times of my week. I cannot thank Tiffany enough for all the help and inspiration she has given me over the years.'

About the Author

Tiffany is a survivor of the 1999 Swiss Canyoning Disaster. On July 27th1999, she was swept away in an avalanche of water in the Swiss Canyoning Disaster. The 1999 Swiss Canyoning Disaster stole the lives of 21 young people, including 14 Australians and others from New Zealand, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Switzerland. Only six people who were in the water survived. Tiffany is one of them. She was swept away down the Saxetenbach Gorge, watching friends perish before her eyes. The Swiss Canyoning Disaster captured the attention of the media around the globe including the New York Times, the Guardian in the UK, and the BBC. *** Tiffany's journey began in a search for self. She sought her truth unsuccessfully as she journeyed out of rural Australia to University and tropical resorts, through messy relationships and ultimately overseas to Europe. She came to see that her life was as big as a mountain, only for the world which she was creating to come crashing down in the 1999 Swiss Canyoning Disaster. Returning home to Australia, back to where her journey began, she is finally brave enough now to share her story. These events have shaped her writing and her perspective on life. She has found her voice and wants to help others find their voice too. Tiffany's writing has been published in Circle - Diabetes Australia national magazine. She has worked as Artist Director for the cookbook - 'Tastes that make a difference' and was the illustrator for the poetry book, 'Journeys of the Heart' by D.S. Elliott. Tiffany is a featured speaker for the Human Library Movement, plus community advocacy groups such as Rotary and White Ribbon. Tiffany has become an advocate of trauma survivors and diabetics. She is a member of Writers Victoria and the Australian Society of Authors. When not writing, you can find Tiffany cooking up a storm in the kitchen with her family all singing to Frank Sinatra or sitting in her garden drinking tea while pondering what inspiration the world will bring for her next creative adventure. Tiffany has settled down with her two children, her ever-so-patient husband and two dogs - who are not as patient. BRAVE ENOUGH NOW is her debut memoir and is currently working on her second manuscript, a sequel to Brave Enough Now.
