Thank you Charlie for this gift you have given us all...
Just to add that the corner of the book arrived damaged (photo) which was an initial disappointment until I realised the book needed cherishing more because of that!
(But dont like to think of this having happened on a wider scale...
This book was just stunning. Somehow, through the pictures and words, I've felt more at peace today having read it, than I have for such a very long time.
I'm a rational, straight thinking type of person, but I've had knock back after knock back and major life changes for too long.
But, this book somehow reaches into you, draws you in and, somehow, makes you see that it will be ok after all. Somehow. And I don't know how, but I'm truly grateful I've found it.
I'll keep this book for the rest of my days and read it often. A truly beautiful read.
No this was not a Story for me but a bunch of fluffy happy things to say to your favourite stuffed Animal when your bored. I did not like it and neither did my Child.
More importantly although I bought it for myself, I am keen for my teenage sons to read it. One is anxious and insecure and the other is hormonal and moody but I think they can benefit from it too probably in a different way to me. But nevertheless it’s a keepsake everyone should have to delve into when you need some tlc and reaffirmation of kindness, goodness and love.
The book is going to live by my bed and I will reach for it and read it and remind myself of all the important words of wisdom when I need them. I would recommend everyone has a copy of Charlie’s book.
