Product Description

The endless rainforest . . .
A deadly disease . . .
A village under siege . . .
A band of well-armed extremists . . .
And Logan Pierce, who just wants to sit around all day eating papaya.

After a short and problem-plagued career in environmental activism, Logan trades meaningful responsibility for self-imposed exile in the trackless rainforest jungles of Borneo. While enjoying a leisurely and indolent lifestyle, he is confronted with a deadly disease ravaging the isolated mountain villages. Forced into a new and unwanted role as leader of a desperate group of villagers and researchers, he's faced with life-threatening dangers, betrayal by close friends, a budding romantic relationship, and a fierce battle against a well-armed band of religious extremists. As he's led through a harrowing series of adventures, Logan discovers an ambition he's long been lacking, and a final willingness to take a stand for the people he cares for.

4.0 out of 5 stars Action Thriller with a bit of Medical Mystery 28 March 2012

I thought this book was a great read. Borneo Fever was written along some of the same veins as works by Clive Cussler, Dan Brown, and Michael Crichton. For a relatively new author, Dee has achieved strong plotting, great pacing, and 3-dimensional character development. There are some great twists and mysteries in the book as well, and a nice sense of humor at just the right times. I can't recall any glaring distractions (like bad dialog) that you sometimes get with lesser known writers. This book flows well and kept me in the narrative instead of "outside looking in." I look forward to reading more from this guy! Give it a shot and you won't be disappointed.
5.0 out of 5 stars I really enjoyed the book 11 April 2017

I really enjoyed the book. The author knows how to draw you in and keep you on the edge of your seat. characters came to life. There was a lot of action. There were many interesting facts brought out about Borneo and the natives who live there.
4.0 out of 5 stars Jungle Fever 8 May 2015
By Jey Yoony - Published on Amazon.com
This book makes me want to drop everything, move out to south east Asia and live with the natives. I enjoyed the characters and the setting described the novel. The story has a few slower parts towards the beginning, but always picks back up quickly. Towards the end, I couldn't put it down. This was my first Lon Dee book and I will start reading another one right away.
