I didn’t have the best of starts in life but, at seven years old everything changed.
My mother died from a drug overdose and I was taken in by Hamish, a man who loved me like no other had.
When he married Blossom, I found out what it was to have a real mother. A woman who loved me unconditionally. Nursed me through illness, laughed when I laughed and soothed me when I cried.
I’m an adult now with degrees in Social Work and Psychology. Now I’m back in the ’hood giving those who need it, my help.
It’s here I meet Keegan. A woman who will test me and turn my peaceful life upside down.
I’ve been betrayed. I’m broken, lost the will to live, care about nothing and no-one.
I have no-one to turn to and nowhere to go. I risk living out on the streets at the mercy of criminals and gangs.
Then, I meet Steve, he steps up to help me. I have never known such kindness and caring. Slowly I learn to live and trust again.
Will fate intervene and tear the fledgling love they have for each other, apart?
Can Keegan survive the tragedy that befalls her at the hands of her two timing ex?

I really enjoyed this whole series but this one was my favorite so far. I fell in love with Steve from the moment he was introduced in book 1 Born to Sin. He has the best personality, he just grabbed my heart as a little boy and became an awesome man. I love that the author kept him the same and just matured him as he grew up. The qualities that made him such a interesting character has only been enhanced as the series progressed. This is a heart warming story with an insight to how love and compassion can heal. It is a great love story with a powerful message on how a group of broken people can become a family with a powerful united front. I highly recommend this. Be prepared to feel a mixture of emotions.

The third book in the Born Series this book centres on Steve the child that Hamish took under his wing and he and Blossom raised him as their own.
Now Steve is all grown up and has a life of his own and a career in social work. He meets Keegan by complete fluke and the sparks begin to smoulder and then fly.
Steve and Keegan have to deal with her abusive ex if they ever stand a chance of having the relationship they want but it won't all be plain sailing.
Love is never an easy destination to reach and there is drama on the way.

If you are looking for a read that is passionate, heartwarming and heartbreaking then Steve's story will be the one for you. When Steve has such passion for his people that he cares for in his job. When he is literally ran into by Keegan who is an abused woman also she is a lot like Steve was when he was younger. When Liam becomes so jealous of how his parents treat Steve will he go to such extremes that someone will get hurt or worse? This story brings you such feelings of sibling rivalry, abuse and how it should be handled in a loving

This is the third book in the Born to series. Another winner. We get reacquainted with Hamish and Blossom, meet their kids. Steve is now grown, with his own life story of love, grief and betrayal from a close and unexpected source. I loved catching up with the originals and meeting new people. Come enjoy the ride with all of them.
