HASH(0xaa7fde64) out of 5 stars Save time, effort and money 4 February 2014
By G.J. MALAN - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I "self-published my first book with the "assistance" of a publishing company. In the end I was extremely unhappy for various reasons - one being that they gave absolutely no guidance even on formatting demands. Then I discovered an online course and it gave me valuable insight. Jeremy Myers' book started to add new and valuable insights to that course even in the early pages and it goes far beyond in terms of the ground covered. The book does not try to impress with all kinds of "learned quotations" but gets right to the thrust of things, plain and simple. For me this book will be a constant companion as I work on a considerable list of books on Christian doctrines - definitely not the easiest topics in today's world.

Whether you are a new aspiring author or one with a book or so behind you, save yourself much effort and frustration by investing in this book.

HASH(0xaabccb40) out of 5 stars Highly recommended! 19 April 2014
By Wesley Rostoll - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This book was incredibly helpful. I am in the process of writing my first book and the info in here has really helped me go into this process with a plan. I now realize how incredibly naive I was about what goes into publishing a book, yet instead of feeling overwhelmed, I now feel prepared for the task. Jeremy has laid out the steps to every aspect of publishing step by step as though they were recipes in a cook book. From writing with Styles and using the Style guide to incorporating images and page layouts, it is all there and will end up saving you hours of time in the editing phase. It contains detailed steps for formatting the paperback and eBook and where and how to get published through various publishers. How to obtain an ISBN number and the benefits and downsides associated with each option available to you. How to market your book and on and on it goes. If you want people to take your writing seriously or to even discover what you wrote, you need to be more than just a good author and this book will equip you for that.
