Lovely lively storyReviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 April 2020
Have read most of Potzsch hangman series which I thoroughly enjoyed, so was a little apprehensive about this tale, but I wasn't disappointed, great characters and storylines, and once again all the wonderful Bavarian countryside and towns.
Good characters, good details of campaigns etcReviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 June 2017
Good characters, good details of campaigns etc. I liked this story, the one character even reminded me of the young me, would try anything once, if it didn't kill him he'd do it again.

Black Musketeers reviewReviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 October 2018
Very gripping story which moved along quickly to keep me interested throughout.
Starts well then goes downhill.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 January 2018
Started off well then descended into a sort of 'black magic' fable. Disappointing in the extreme/
Book of the NightReviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 February 2018
As usual a very good read that keeps you guessing until the end. Well drawn and believable characters and a story which is set against actual historical events.
