Product Description

If you're ready to learn how to use the Internet and social media to attract fans and sell more books ... then this book is for you!

My first book was published 20 years ago. I've been making a full-time living as an author since 2004. I've been blessed to develop a sizable fan base around the world. Now I want to show you the foundational marketing principles that helped me get there.

Here's what you'll get inside this book:

Five Principles of Internet Marketing Every Author Should Know

The Internet provides an amazing set of tools for independent authors and book publishers. It can also be a great source of overwhelm and frustration. In this lesson you'll learn what you need to know about online book promotion to stay happy, sane and effective.

The Guerrilla Book Marketing Online Fan-Attraction Formula

In this lesson I share the details of my Octopus Marketing Formula, including the five critical factors that make this system work, and the 12 websites you should consider using to reach readers and book buyers. Once you've been exposed to this framework, you'll never be confused about Internet book promotion again.

Everything You've Always Wanted to Know About What to Post and Share Online to Promote Your Books

The most common thing authors say is "I don't know what to post online. I have nothing to say." After you work through the simple steps outlined in this chapter, you'll know what to focus on. And, you'll be able to communicate easily with your fans in a way that's ideally suited to your style and personality.

Seven Ways to Build Your Author Platform: Examples and Best Practices

While most authors struggle with blogging and social media, some are attracting huge audiences with them. In recent months I've had the good fortune to interview and research many writers who are killing it (in a good way) online, such as Jeff Goins and Joel Friedlander. I point out what they're doing right, what I've done successfully over the years, and how you can emulate our results.

The Five Essential Elements of an Effective Author Website

It seems so simple. Find a nice Wordpress theme and off you go with a new website. Not so fast! Having one is a good start, but having a site that will attract and retain readers and book buyers is another thing altogether. In this chapter I share the simple elements you'll need to have a kick-butt author website.

This book is overflowing with 22,000 words of incredibly useful information that will help you use the Internet and social media to attract more fans and sell more books than ever before.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid concepts and lots of them. A keeper. 18 December 2014

I've read Bob's other marketing-related books and this one delivers exactly what I expected: A rapid-fire series of excellent marketing ideas for authors. While some may seem a little dated on the face of it, they're easily re-framed in the context of the very latest marketing tools and trends.

I've read other books, reports, and courses that seize the latest marketing novelty and try to make it sound like the best thing since sliced bread. Novelties provide short-lived results. As an author, you should be writing, not hopping from one whizz-bang shiny idea to the next. You need a more reliable foundation before following anything that's a one-shot firecracker idea that may (or may not) work well.

This book provides solid information and a fine foundation for building your author platform. That's a very good reason to read this book, and refer to it every few months to see how you can adapt Bob's ideas to your current marketing strategies.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best eBook Marketing book! 20 April 2014

As one who's read so many books, blogs, and articles on selling ebooks online, I found Bob Baker's to be the absolute best guide available. He writes as a seasoned author who just happens to be the only one I know who supports himself with his book sales! The book is conversational in style, while staying smack on topic, which meant I never stopped taking notes. The book is arranged in logical, doable sections with lists that aid in creating both a plan and a to-do list. And the information Bob gave his readers is about to become a cohesive marketing plan for my own books. Thank you, Bob. Keep up the great work ~

5.0 out of 5 stars Bob Baker is a tour de force. One of ... 19 December 2014

Bob Baker is a tour de force. One of those energetic creative genius types that keeps on giving. He is a triple threat musician, artist and author. More than that, he is a giver of the highest degree. I'm guessing he has single handedly helped more indie musicians find a way to make a living than ANY other person. Now he is helping indie authors learn how they can navigate the system and get their books found and bought online. This is a very helpful book for anyone who is self-publishing.

I can't remember how many 'get rich by self publishing' books I've read. Perhaps I had to do it the hard way.
Bob knows what he's talking about and it shows in every page.

If your search for a decent 'how to' book on marketing on the Internet has brought you here - you're in luck! This is the book you need.
