The Body Plan is a great read. Robyn's balanced approach to eating and creating the body of your dreams is effective and anyone can do it. The key is that it's not about deprivation or cutting out food groups. It's not depriving yourself before holiday and/or coming back with guilt and pounds from out of control eating.
It's a sensible approach that Robyn shares, but the book is much more. You get to go on a journey with Robyn and learn how and why she came up with The Body Plan. It's an inspiring story! She talks about how important your mindset is and she keeps you motivated the whole way. It's like having a cheerleader in your corner.
You'll learn how to manage your environment, set yourself up for success, get your mind straight(!), and makes you happy and comfortable accepting yourself where you are and making you excited about where you're going at the same time.
I recommend this book if you're trying to lose 5 pounds or 100. I recommend it if you want to be inspired to take better control of your eating and you want to feel empowered. If you hate the thought of "dieting" then this book can help. You'll walk away with a plan to accomplish your goals comfortably. If you're a person who can't stand the thought of eating low carb or zero carb or vegan or any other restrictive diet, then this book will make you happy as you enjoy a bit of wine, pizza, or chocolate in your life while losing weight at the same time. Full disclosure: Robyn gifted this book to me and I chose to write a review so I could share my thoughts to encourage others who are considering The Body Plan. I recommended the book to my mom, a serial dieter who was tired of the dieting rollercoaster. She bought it!
