THE BOAR Warwick University: a world that's so emotionless, unforgiving and voyeuristic... where extreme pornography shocks nobody... when you reach the final page, you will want to start it all again
TV Presenter JULIETTE FOSTER This imaginative, sexually explicit book has more swear words in it than a Gordon Ramsay show, yet its edgy, 'in your face' writing and tightly structured plot are so addictive that it's damn near impossible to put down... grips from the first to the last page as Pearson skillfully draws the reader into a future that's dysfunctional, cold and frighteningly voyeuristic
Foreword Indies BOOK AWARD Finalist: 2018 GODS' Warrior (Fantasy) 2017 GODS' Fool (Fantasy) 2016 GODS' Enemy (Fantasy) 2016 Star Weaver (Science Fiction) Derek E Pearson is a UK-based author and illustrator with more than a dozen published novels in the sci-fi and fantasy genres. Since gaining his bachelor's degree from Norwich School of Art in the late 1970s, Pearson has mainly worked as a children's book illustrator, including titles such as Tulsi the Tiger. Since the late 1980s, Pearson has also worked in publishing and journalism, specialising in the dental industry with his online magazine Dental Review. Celluloid Peach, Pearson's latest novel, is a grand, romantic and adventuresome departure from his usual writings, but brings with it the dark twist familiar to fans of fantasy and sci-fi. Pearson says, When someone dies it has to matter. You have to believe a life has been lost. An author learns to love the people he lives with in his mind. They become real.

Fantastic premise and such an intriguing story! The writing is just terrific. Pacy but descriptive, explicit and enticing, sophisticated but easy to follow. Such engaging sci-fi writing with an original concept and exhilarating execution. The characters are fleshed out nicely and are interesting, quirky and compelling. Hard to find good science fiction these days which can make grand themes and ideas accessible and enjoyable at the same time. Really enjoyed reading this and would definitely recommend it! :)
Body Holiday rattles along at a good pace and is full of original ideas. Already highly praised by TV presenter Juliette Foster it deserves to bring success to its author Derek Pearson.
I couldn't read fast enough to keep up and find out what the heck was going to happen. This was my kind of book. Kept me on the edge of my seat and had me guessing the whole time :) I received this ARC for an honest review.
