It can be tricky to clean if you wanted it to be perfect but it's easy enough to clean fairly well, a narrow paint brush or similar will dislodge most of the fines.
I find that it works best if I pulse it rather than hold it down until I reach the grain size that I want. If I hold it down it may clog or overheat. I don't want to heat the beans.
I thought that the outside of the unit would be a rubber or laytex style of material which would have been nice to grip but it's plain plastic. Probably easier to clean this way?
Overall it does everything that it needs to, it was decent value. There would probably be worse options within the same price range?
