To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Helped identify my black luggage from all the other black luggages when coming around the carousel. Quality is not the greatest. After a return flight the plastic buckle is not as snug compared to when I first bought it. I wouldn't be surprised if it broke on my next trip. So don't consider this a long term investment.

The plastic "clasp" isn't very strong and with the bumping around the airlines do with your bag, I was afraid it would unlatch during transit. I fixed this by heating up the the male end (end that gets inserted) with a hair dryer (don't use an open flame) to soften the plastic. I gently widened and held the 2 outside prongs as the plastic cooled. They now stay closed with much more force and don't easily unsnap; it's a simple process but it's unfortunate that you have to modify the product right out of the box. This did make a big difference and if they showed up this way I would give 4 or 5 stars.

I wasn't sure buying this would be worth it for my trip, since I read other reviewer's reports of missing belts, etc. I felt better knowing I had another strap holding the suitcase together, and it was SO much easier to find my luggage on the claim belt. I would use it again just for that alone. I have a cobalt suitcase, and you can't believe how many other people do too. This model seemed to be the best value.
These do not stay on luggage despite any amount of tightening of the straps. I was hopeful that they'd be able to do their job, but my luggage arrived without them after a trans-oceanic flight.
