Product Description

“The story runs at a good pace, my fingers kept on flicking those pages, and I was determined to find out who done it before my eyelids started drooping!… Good narrative, enthralling writing…to keep you occupied and guessing at [what comes next]!”
–2 Girls Who Love Books

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…

At the heart of every human being is the need—and the desire—to be happy. For many, happiness is elusive, but for one killer, it’s something to be created. But it’s not as easy as it seems at first, and this “creator” is determined to get it right at least one more time, no matter how many tries it takes…

It’s been exactly a year since Cheryl Bradley was found dead in her bathtub, dressed in a wedding gown with her ring finger severed. With no leads and no more evidence, the case had gone cold. That is, until another young woman is found murdered and posed in the same fashion.

Now, FBI agent Brandon Fisher and his team have been called in to catch the killer before another innocent life is taken. As Brandon begins to pull at every possible loose thread, the idea that the killer’s method of operation is all that connects the women begins to unravel. This serial killer isn’t just out for blood; this is a murderer on a mission.

But the closer Brandon thinks he’s getting to a resolution, the more evident it is that the killer is losing control and slipping up, making the trail even more difficult for the FBI to follow. And unless Brandon and his team can catch up to the killer, the bloodbath will continue to overflow.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Another Serial Killer Thriller" 2 December 2015
By Nancy L. Silk - Published on Amazon.com

This is another exceptionally written FBI investigative novel written by prolific author, Carolyn Arnold. Regardless of the genre she chooses to create, they all will grab you emotionally. In this novel, Cheryl Bradley is found dead in her bathtub one year ago. She is wearing a wedding dress, her ring finger is severed and placed on her body. Now, another woman, Tara Day has been found dead, exactly the same way. The FBI investigative team is led by Supervisor Agent Jack Harper, with Agents Brandon Fisher, Paige Dawson, and Zachery Miles, who has a special talent of memory. Brandon and Paige are secretly having an affair together, but neither one wants to lose their jobs as special agents, so they agree to just remain working buddies. At this point in Brandon's career, he has only two more months on his probation period when he will officially become an FBI special agent, skilled and qualified. This new case requires the team to head immediately to hunt the bathtub psychotic killer in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Paige has come up with a quote often described for new brides, "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." The killer is not done yet. His goal is to gift women who have been let down by prospective grooms, a place of joy and happiness rather than living a life sad and blue. Awesome story, the characters are compelling, the story line well constructed. Highly recommend for those who love a great mystery.

4.0 out of 5 stars Women are being murdered and posed in a bridal gown ... 2 December 2015
By Adam - Published on Amazon.com

Women are being murdered and posed in a bridal gown in a bathtub. The hunt is on but the going is slow. No one has seen anything out of the ordinary. No DNA, no fingerprints, nothing to collect from the scene of the murders. It's a complex case and the FBI are at their wits end. But they analyze what is happening by the posing of the body and the details on the facial with a small smile on the face. Makeup and the whole works are part of the scene. They finally get a break from a landlady who described the car that she saw that was not part of the people she rented to. And the search begins.

I love this series and this book by Carolyn Arnold. They are so suspenseful and hard to put down. I love books about criminal profilers and more specifically how they try to get into the mindset of a deviant mind. She does this very well. I preordered her next book and can't wait for it to come out.
