The characters Remy and Star aren’t your typical sweet characters. They have both had harsh lives and have to make big, hard decisions along the way. Star pays the price for something that she shouldn’t have seen and instead of running (which would have cost her life) she ends up going with Remy and his MC back to their clubhouse, but this isn’t a sweet story and what happens to Star is actually quite frightening and graphic. The idea of the club, what it stands for and who the men and women are that live there is harsh in its reality and makes you want to keep turning the pages.
Remy is all hard-edged arrogance and doesn’t go out to help Star but for some reason he does. He’s lived a hard life and this is seen in the way he interacts not only with his brothers in the club but also the women. He also doesn’t seem to be a talker! (Just saying)
I don’t want to give any spoilers away so if you want to know more about this book, then you have to read it. It is a harsh, more truer writing about the MC life, but you’re definitely going to enjoy it!
ARC received for a fair and honest review.
I don’t want to give anything away so I will say that this is one of the better MC books I’ve ever read. I have fallen in love with this author and his style of writing because he seemed to put me right in this story of Remy and Star. About the time you didn’t think things couldn’t get much worse he just notched it up even more with the cruel dark world of an MC and a woman who would do just about anything for this man with still making her such a strong person.
I would highly recommend this book and I’m really looking forward to what he has in store next for the Steel Veins MC.
This is no easy motorcycle ride, or heartwarming romance. It's not for the faint hearted. But it is an addictive page turner.
Remy and Star are the most unlikely pair, but their lives are forever changed after one crazy day.
The Steel Veins MC seem like a lost cause, but Remy has dreams and plans for a better life. And he is willing to risk his life over and over to make the changes happen and for the tough-as-nails woman who came along with him for the ride.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this MC book that I could not put it down. This story is captivating, entertaining, and intriguing! Packed with murder, mystery, suspense, drama, and kidnapping—letting you know what to expect later, but it is sure to be a hot as hell, sexy, edgy, intriguing, unpredictable, and twisted MC romance. This book sometimes had me laughing, sometimes shedding a few tears, and sometimes telling them to stop it! This is the first book in the Steel Veins series. Jackson Kane manages to weave suspense and twisted plots with artfully developed main characters. This is my first time reading books by Jackson Kane, but I assure you, it will not be the last. This story is about Star and Remy Daniels, who is a member of the Steel Veins Motorcycle Club that is handsome, sexy as hell, cold, heartless, a calculating murderer, but overall a good guy who is loyal to his club and to those he loved. Star is a strong female, but she struggles to keep Remy at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble. Their relationship is complicated. There are so many intense elements to this story that you cannot highlight on just one. Wait until you read what happens and why someone was kidnapped—you will be flabbergasted and appalled. This book is well written, and I recommend this book.
