Very very very good book. Looking forward to what I hope is a long series.
I thought the world building was excellent, the characters really well rounded. I cared what happened to them and the story was gripping.

Excellent start to hopefully a long seriesReviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 September 2020
At last, a detective story NOT involving demons or super-powerful inquisitorsReviewed in Italy on 27 September 2020
At last, a detective story NOT involving demons or super-powerful inquisitors, but a believable (in W40k terms) character, in an interesting city (not the usual giga-lager) with an intriguing plot. Warhammer Crime adds an interesting new side to my favourite sci-fi universe.
Best 40k Book I've ReadReviewed in the United States on 27 October 2020
This book fleshes out the 40k civilian life extremely well. I highly recommend it as the contrast made me appreciate that the intense battles, wars, and geopolitical intrigue do not exist in a vacuum. This is not to say the book is without intensity. I could hardly put it down once starting--finishing most of it in a day.
