Book 2 in the series was just as captivating,as book 1, Alaysha, discovers more about who she is, and from where she came from as a most unlikely character in the book proves to be someone who has the answers to her puzzle. Torn between her feelings for two different loves she struggles to discover which one is telling her the truth or just wants to own and manipulate her.
For the first time in her life she is free of the cruelty served up by a father who only wanted to use her, but must be careful not to let herself fall into the arms of the wrong person, as she continues her quest to discover just what it is that the Fire Witch is up to, will she be strong enough to fight the Fire Witch if it comes down to a fight, will she be able to control her thirst, that has only ever brought death and destruction and use it to fight the Fire Witch should the war come, and where are the other elemental witches that have been hidden? Will she discover that the Earth Witch, is in plain sight? I can't wait to see where Ms. Atkinson , takes the story next, she leaves you thrusting for more...

good but confusingReviewed in the United States on 19 December 2016
This is the second book I've read so far in this series and I'm a little upset that there are so many other books to read before you reach the conclusion, but if the witch in this book is confused so is the reader and now I have to buy another book and again and again. I wish it were not so. I think the author puts a lot of unnecessary words to make a word count goal, when this book could have already reached its end. Having said that, it's a good story, just too wordy.

Blood Witch: (Witches of Etlantium Book 2) ReviewReviewed in the United States on 2 September 2016
Thea, I'm glad you have labelled your stories as adult reading because of the sexual content. Fortunately you have not taken God's name in vain. I understand you have made your story confusing so you could sell many books but the poor reader suffers as well. You have an interesting plot line with many twists and turns that makes it difficult to determine who are friends or foes at any one time. I have read both books 1 & 2 at this point recommend reading your stories to those who enjoy convoluted stories. I plan to read book 3 and see where that goes.
Interesting character and nice mythologyReviewed in the United States on 21 December 2012
I liked the feel of this novel, the world building, the sense of melancholy and mystery. The main character was an interesting person, with some depth and a little development. She even managed to keep from being the formulaic "kick-butt heroine". My only complaint would be that it moved a bit slowly at times, and I do despise novels where it is obvious that one or more of the characters knows what is going on and refuses to tell the heroine. Makes it feel like the author is just pulling my chain as long as she can. This one wasn't so bad, and I'm glad I read it. Some good seeds for a sequel there, but no horrible cliff hangers at the end. I would recommend it.
A Great Find!Reviewed in the United States on 24 November 2013
I picked up the first of these books out of boredom awaiting something new from my favorite authors, I read it and saw there were more...what the heck, I still need stuff to read. This book grabbed me right away, I was unable to put it down for too long. As the story is unfolding, I am captured by the story of these witches. I will read them and go back and read the others by this author. I have found another FAVORITE author!
